George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB, SOULS OF WE) is a legend among fans of innovative rock guitar. It was 25 years ago, in the late ’80s, that George discovered a small manufacturer of custom guitars while on tour in Japan, and he’s been a believer in ESP ever since. George‘s custom guitars have long been a hallmark for ESP‘s Signature Series. A two-part video overview from ESP can be seen below.
LYNCH MOB‘s comeback album, “Smoke And Mirrors”, was released in Europe on September 18, 2009 (October 13, 2009 in the U.S.) via Frontiers Records. The recording lineup on the CD included Lynch and Logan alongside bassist Marco Mendoza (WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY) and Coogan.
Lynch has joined forces with fellow former/current DOKKEN members Jeff Pilson (bass) and Mick Brown (drums) in a new project called TOOTH AND NAIL. The band’s debut album is tentatively due in March. The CD will feature new original material as well as reworked versions of around five or six DOKKEN classics.
Lynch‘s eleventh solo album in nearly twenty years, “Kill All Control”, was released last July via Rocket Science, Inc.
What began as a follow-up to the SOULS OF WE debut, “Let The Truth Be Known”, George quickly realized the project was taking on a new direction with the addition of POWERMAN 5000 drummer Adrian Ost. While writing with SOULS OF WE singer London LeGrand (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION), George noted, “The creative juices flowed and we wrote most of the CD in 10 days.”
