Frankfurt-based thrash legends TANKARD drummer Olaf Zissel, earlier this week was taken to hospital due to a suspected stroke. Gerd Lücking (HOLY MOSES), the soundtech for TANKARD, consented short dated to jump in as stand-in for Olaf and to play the two gigs, at Summer Breeze Festival, Germany and Motocultor Fest, France.
TANKARD has issued good news via their Official Facebook Page:
Olaf was discharged from the hospital a few hours ago after the suspicion that he suffered from a stroke wasn’t confirmed by the doctors. … If everything goes smoothly Olaf will be playing the two shows in early september in Hoorn/Holland and at the Gohelle-Fest in France though.

Comments Tankard: “happy birthday Gerd Lücking and thanks again for replacing our ill drummer Olaf for the two shows at the Summer Breeze Festival last thursday and at Motocultor Festival in St.Nolff, France today!!!”
