With a career spanning more than three decades, the band is ready to embark on an exciting new chapter, with a new studio album currently in the final stages of production and scheduled for release in early 2027.
Guild Of Ages commented: “We are incredibly excited to be joining the Frontiers Music family. To have the opportunity to write, record, and release new music with a label that shares our passion for rock music is something truly special! We are proud of where we’ve been, excited about where we’re going, and can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve been working on. Some things are worth waiting for. After all these years, the fire that brought us together is still burning, and we feel like there’s a lot of music left for us to make. Signing with Frontiers Music opens an exciting new chapter for Guild of Ages, and we’re grateful to have a partner who believes in what we do. We’re ready to turn the page, turn up the volume, and see where this journey takes us!”
Aldo Lonobile, VP of Global A&R, Frontiers Label Group, added: “We’re happy to bring Guild Of Ages back to all the fans of AOR and melodic rock around the world. Since their very early days as CITA, the band has created some truly iconic records, albums like “Heat Of Emotion” have earned a special place in the hearts of genre lovers and continue to stand the test of time. We’re proud to welcome Guild Of Ages to the Frontiers family and look forward to celebrating their legacy while bringing their music to a new generation of fans.”
Originally formed in 1993 under the name CITA, Guild Of Ages emerged from the vibrant melodic hard rock scene of the early ’90s. Founded by four high school friends – Danny Martinez, Antz Trujillo, Joe Marone, and Troy Benson – the band quickly secured record deals in Europe and Japan, laying the foundations for a career built on powerful melodies, soaring vocal harmonies, and guitar-driven hard rock.
Working alongside former Axe and Blackfoot member Bobby Barth, the band recorded their debut album, “Act I: Relapse Of Reason”, which earned them a dedicated underground following. Following lineup changes that saw the arrival of bassist James Lostetter and drummer Steve Stuntz, the band released “Heat Of Emotion”, further strengthening their reputation among melodic rock fans in Europe and Japan.
After a legal dispute over the CITA name, the band adopted the moniker Guild Of Ages, continuing their musical journey with the live album “Live Over Germany” and three studio releases: “One”, “Vox Dominatas”, and “Citadel”. Throughout these recordings, the band established a distinctive sound combining memorable hooks, rich vocal harmonies, powerful guitar riffs, and heartfelt songwriting.
Although the band disbanded in 2002, their music has continued to resonate with melodic hard rock enthusiasts over the years.
Now, more than two decades later, Guild Of Ages is preparing to write the next chapter of their story. Their upcoming studio album – coming in early 2027 – promises to carry forward the band’s signature blend of melody, energy, and musicianship, while introducing their sound to a new generation of rock fans.
