The album’s artwork was handled by Gyula Havancsák / Hjules.com (Annihilator, Destruction, Stratovarius, etc.). “Hidden Evolution” was once again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, etc.) and features a lead-guitar guest-appearance by Chris Amott (Armageddon, ex Arch Enemy) on the song “Speed Of Light”.

Hidden Evolution, the 5th studio album by Spanish thrash metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA, will be unleashed on January 27 (digital only) in North America via Century Media Records. For a preview of the album, fans can hear Hidden Evolution in full online at Germany’s Rock Hard magazine, HERE.

Hidden Evolution has already received great feedback from international magazines, earning 5/6 in Metallian (France), 11/15 in Legacy (Germany), 5/6 in Spark (Czech Republic) and 5/7 in Germany’s Metal Hammer, who commented “you simply can’t play melodic Thrash Metal much better than this!”.

I’ve always considered myself very interested in the UFO phenomenon and everything involving aliens and extraterrestrial forms of life. Since we started working on this song I had the feeling that I wanted to speak about that, emphasizing the “conspiranoid” elements that consider that human life could be the result of much older civilizations that lived on planet earth way before us.”

Spanish thrashers ANGELUS APATRIDA are gearing up for their upcoming 5th studio album, Hidden Evolution, which is set to be released on January 19th in Europe and January 27th in North America (digital only) via Century Media Records.

Now, ANGELUS APATRIDA has been announced for a comprehensive European tour together with SUICIDAL ANGELS and new labelmates DR. LIVING DEAD! in February/March 2015 to support the release of the album.

The band comments: “The wait is over! And we hope you are ready because we are coming to get you, and it’s gonna hurt! After spending the last months working our asses off with the new album, that we think you guys are gonna think it’s killer, we are finally ready to come back to the road and do what we like best, blast the stages. Teaming up with SUICIDAL ANGELS and DR. LIVING DEAD! guarantees this is gonna be a total ear-shaking, heads-exploding, earth-quacking and house-rocking hell of a tour!”

Hard-working Spanish Thrash Metal commando ANGELUS APATRIDA is ready for a new attack as they are currently finishing up the last details of their anticipated new album via Century Media Records. The same creative staff that worked on the band’s previous two studio recordings, “Clockwork” (2010) and “The Call” (2012), has teamed up with them again for this new effort, entitled “Hidden Evolution”, once again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, etc. and will be released on January 19th, 2015.The band states; “It’s been the hardest recording work we ever done, but we couldn’t be happier about how it sounds. Inspiration for the music in this album came from all the experiences we lived through on the road during the last two years and the result sounds more elaborated. There’s some of the hardest and fastest stuff we ever done, but also some of the more melodic stuff we ever composed. Working with Daniel and the people from Ultrasound Studios has been killer as usual. Moita is a small, cozy and quiet town close to Lisbon, and it’s been the third time we recorded there. Their narrow streets made of stone, the beautiful river and decadent squares feels like home; the perfect home for us, a place to away from other things and fully concentrate.”
