Orange County-based Hardcore titans IGNITE are back with the first single from their upcoming self-titled album! The new track, titled “The River”, is a high-energy affair that addresses the heavy subject matter of the toll felt by those who struggle with the US immigration system. Led by new lead vocalist Eli Santana (of Holy Grail fame), the band’s latest offering follows their ‘Anti-Complicity Anthem’ EP from earlier this year.
Speaking about the lyrical themes on their new single, the band comments, “‘The River’ takes a look at the dark and murky immigration issues that our country is facing at this very moment and the toll it is taking on children and their families.”
“The River” is out today (November 19th) on major digital/streaming platforms, and fans can watch the new music video for the track following this link: https://ignite.lnk.to/TheRiver-SingleID.
‘IGNITE’ will see a March 25th, 2022 release on Century Media. Stay tuned for details on the pre-order and more!
The masters of melodic-hardcore are finally back! Today US-hardcore band IGNITE from Orange County, CA released their brand-new digital EP “Anti-Complicity Anthem” on all digital platforms. Including the incredible title track as well as the exclusive B-side “Turn XXI” that will be only available on this EP the band makes an impressive comeback.
On top of that IGNITE also deliver a powerful performance clip for “ANTI-COMPLICITY ANTHEM”. Listen to the EP or find the premiere link HERE
Craig Anderson comments on the new video:
“Filming the video for Anti-Complicity Anthem gave us just a small taste of how fun it is going to be to play that song live and in front of people. It´s been a while since any of us have played music in front of a crowd and we can´t wait to get back on the road.”
Furthermore, IGNITE finally announces after a lot of speculations their new vocalist. Eli Santana (Holy Grail) takes over the duties as the bands new singer and is currently recording a new album with the band.
Brett Rasmussen quotes:
“The energy and positivity that Eli brought to the recording studio was contagious! It was an absolute breath of fresh air for all of us and reminded me of the early days of Ignite. I really can´t wait to take these songs on tour.”
He has been the voice of melodic hardcore band IGNITE for 25 years, but just left the band to pursue his passions in music and animal rescue. Zoli Téglás has also been the front man for the bands Pennywise and the Misfits. Téglás in addition has a nice resume of acting in Hollywood movies (Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), The Alienist (TV series – 2020), Spectral (2016), Tyrant (TV series – 2015, 2016), Argo 2 (2015) and is known as an activist for animal rights and environmental protection for many years. He has been an activist and board member for such organizations as Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and Beagle Freedom Project. Zoli has his own non profit Pelican Rescue Team.
Now Zoli shows another interesting facet of his personality with the launch of his brand new US Alternative Rock band, OCEAN HILLS. “These songs come from the heart”. The upcoming album is everything Zoli was hoping to achieve musically. “The songs are great, the musicianship is amazing, the guitar solos are incredible, and the vocals are melodic and hard hitting. Rock anthem stuff!!!”
Joining Zoli in OCEAN HILLS are, Peter Lukacs (lead guitar), Daniel Szebenyi (keyboards and bass) and Reinder Oldenburger rhythm guitar– all with integral contributions to the band’s songwriting.
OCEAN HILLS is a daring new endeavor – a brand new start, but with the experience of countless tours and recording sessions behind them all as full time professional musicians. OCEAN HILLS‘ music feels like a vacation: it re-energizes, makes you reflect and feel good – but it’s not superficial or insignificant. There’s a subliminal, yearning element to the songs and it’s obvious that someone poured his heart and soul out to create this outstanding record. It’s just great rock n roll!
AFM label manager Nils Wasko:
“A fantastic signing that we did, an artist you only sign every 10 years as a label. We will now unlock all doors together and use the almost 25 years of company history and experience to build OCEAN HILLS – from zero to hero!”
Right before hitting the road again Southern California’s very own melodic hardcore-punk legends, IGNITE, are releasing a brand new video for “Nothing Can Stop Me”, taken from the 2016th released album “A War Against You”, which charted at #12 in Germany. Furthermore the band is working on new music and will enter the studio again in 2019.
“We are currently writing new music and we hope to be in the studio early next year and have the songs out in 2019. We have tour dates planned throughout 2019 and are working on adding a lot more. We are looking forward to a very busy 2019-20,” Brett Rasmussen comments.
