ANNIHILATOR: Confirms Dates For Jeff Waters Guitar Clinics In Germany

ANNIHILATOR guitarist and Epiphone signature artist Jeff Waters has checked in with the following message:

“German guitar clinics coming for the mighty Epiphone on the beauty Gibson bus. So far, looks like only Germany but it should happen in mid-September, just before the even mightier Feast On Europe Tour! I also hear rumors of more touring in February – April 2014 and we are already confirming summer 2014 festivals. Promoters and venues should contact the ICS Touring Agency (Thomas Kreidner) ASAP to book Annihilator in 2014, it will be a very busy year.”

ANNIHILATOR: To Film ‘No Way Out’ Video

Canadian thrash metal veterans ANNIHILATOR are preparing to film a video for the song “No Way Out” in Hannover, Germany. The track comes off the band, ‘s 14th studio album, “Feast”, which will be released on August 23 in Europe and August 27 in North America via UDR. The deluxe eco-book version will also feature a bonus CD containing 15 of the best ANNIHILATOR songs re-recorded in 2012… a grand total of 24 songs in one package… with a 3D cover!

Guitarist Jeff Waters and his bandmates tear through each release with honest, raw power and energy, along with excellent technical skill, giving the metal world the most-tasteful mixtures of huge, metal riffs with the idea of the perfect song and some legendary solo shredding as the icing on the cake. That’s why Jeff and ANNIHILATOR have been a major influence on countless well-known metal acts and musicians around the world. Guitars For Stars out of the US is selling a one-of-kind Hufschmid custom guitar made for ANNIHILATOR guitarist Jeff Waters. According to the product description it was the only one ever made and issued in 2004.

Waters recently posted a guitar solo compilation from the band’s Schizo Deluxe album, released in 2005. Check it out below:

Waters: “This is my version of the ‘Brown Sound.’ The compilation is taken from my third favorite ANNIHILATOR CD (!!) and I swore I would NEVER touch the microphone and settings and taped off the room where the guitar amp/cab/microphone was… so no one would ever touch it… EVER! A few months after this CD was done, my son Alex decided to play hide & seek with me – he was 8 years old then… guess where he decided to hide?! In the room where my perfect guitar tone was! And, of course, he had to knock over the microphone and hide right in front of the speakers! Hahaha! I spent (seriously) close to two months trying to set it all up again but, as engineers know, you can never get it back 100%. It nearly drove me insane every day for months. I finally realized that I will never get that tone back exactly… sounds weird to the average person, but it is almost like an OCD for some of us! 🙂 Here is almost seven minutes of that tone, but just wait until you hear the new Waters sound with these smokingly hot and wicked EVH 5150 III amps! I think that is the only thing to beat my Schizo Deluxe sound!”
