CRYSTAL VIPER‘s cover version of “Night Of The Demon” – the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal classic song, originally performed by DEMON, can be streamed on this location:

The song is taken from the “Harder Than Steel – The Official Keep It True Festival Tribute Album” – a unique compilation album featuring cover songs of bands that played at the Keep It True festival performed by other bands that also played at the festival, which will be available exclusively at this year’s edition of Keep It True, set to take place on April 25-26. Limited to only 500 copies, the collection will be released by Skol Records.

“Possession”, the new studio album from the Polish female-fronted heavy metal act CRYSTAL VIPER, was released on December 13, 2013 (in Europe), and on January 21, 2014 (in North America) via AFM Records as a CD, limited-edition LP and as a digital download. On “Possession” – which was once again produced by Bart Gabriel (SACRED STEEL, SABATON, BURNING STARR, MORTICIAN) – CRYSTAL VIPER decided to cross the borders of traditional heavy metal, and while there are still fast and melodic songs that bring references to such classic bands as JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH (with Ronnie James Dio) and JAG PANZER, the epic and dark parts bring comparisons to acts such as CANDLEMASS, MERCYFUL FATE and even BATHORY. CRYSTAL VIPER again invited members of other bands to sing guest parts on new album: the song “Fight Evil With Evil” features the legendary American singer Harry Conklin (JAG PANZER, TITAN FORCE, SATAN’S HOST), while “Julia Is Possessed” contains the growling voice of Sataniac, vocalist of the German black/thrash metal act DESASTER. In addition, one of the songs features more than 50 fans of the band, who were invited via band’s official Facebook page to “scream” on the new album. CRYSTAL VIPER is also known for one more tradition: recording cover songs of their favorite artists. While the limited vinyl LP version of “Possession” includes surprise track, the regular CD version includes cover version of the RIOT classic “Thundersteel”.

New Jersey thrashers ATTACKER have covered the RIOT track ‘Fire Down Under’ as part of the “Harder Than Steel – The Official KEEP IT TRUE Festival Tribute Album” – unique compilation album. The album includes cover songs of bands that played at the KEEP IT TRUE festival, performed by other bands that also played at the festival. Check out ‘Fire Down Under’ below:

The album will be available exclusively at this year’s edition of the KEEP IT TRUE, that takes place on April 25 and 26, 2014. Its front cover artwork, painted by the longtime festival partner Dimitar Nikolov, can be seen below. The CD will be released by Skol Records, will be limited to only 500 copies and has been produced by Bart Gabriel & Oliver Weinsheimer.

“KEEP IT TRUE is not only a festival, it’s a community” says festival organizer and co-founder, Oliver Weinsheimer. “Not only among the fans, but also among the bands. It’s now eleven years after we started the festival, and with most of the bands we still share a great friendship. Now last year Bart Gabriel came up with this brilliant idea for this Tribute Sampler, and we were really flattered by that, and how fast the bands agreed to do this special thing for us. That’s something unique and we are very proud of that!” he adds.

WARLORD To Perform At Germany’s KEEP IT TRUE XVI Festival

Reunited ’80s metallers WARLORD, featuring guitarist William J. Tsamis and drummer Mark S. Zonder (FATES WARNING) will perform at the Keep It True XVI festival, set to take place April 19-20, 2013 at Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Koenigshofen, Germany. This will mark the group’s first appearance in eleven years — having last performed in 2002 in Itzehoe, Germany and at the Wacken Open Air festival. There will also be a brand new WARLORD album released in 2013.

Commented Tsamis: “WARLORD is very happy to be coming to the Keep It True festival this April 2013.

“As you may know, there was a lot of tension whether WARLORD should play Keep It True or Headbangers Open Air. I have great respect for the promoters of HOA and I have great respect for Oliver Weinsheimer, the promoter of Keep It True. In the end, however, our decision was based on one simple factor — and that was ‘the fans.’

“Apart from researching the venues and corroborating with our peers from other respected metal bands, it all came down to what the fans were saying.

“Our intelligence sources followed numerous discussions on the Internet, and it was clear that the fans at Keep It True seemed to want WARLORD more than the fans of Headbangers Open Air. Thus, WARLORD is coming like a thunderstorm to deliver epic power metal in a way that you cannot even imagine . . . and we are doing it for the fans because we love the fans. In fact, to us, it’s all about the fans. So when the fans tell us by a 10-to-1 margin that we should play Keep It True, we listen to the fans because our radar is up and running and our satellites are watching the situation.

“We hope the energy and affection at Keep it True will be able to match the passion, power and shock that WARLORD will bring, because what we have in store for you is something that you cannot even imagine!”

WARLORD‘s last album, “Rising Out Of The Ashes”, was released in July 2002 via Atrheia/Drakkar. The CD featured Tsamis and Zonder alongside HAMMERFALL vocalist Joacim Cans.
