You aren’t ready for this! Aussie extreme metal cohort King Parrot, will be returning to UK shores, bringing their no holds barred, off kilter live experience back to the UK in September in support of their new album “A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot”.
The last time we welcomed the quietus quartet, they were decimating stadiums nationwide and all over Europe opening for Pantera and Power Trip in 2025. In the summer of 2026, the boys from down under are excited to announce their return with a 9 date run of headline shows all over the UK.
The new album has received a rousing reception by the metal community with tracks like “Fuck You and the Horse You Rode In On” and “It’s A Rort” and their accompanying videos being lapped up by old and new fans alike. King Parrot recently completed a monstrous 39 date US tour alongside Gwar and Soulfly and are firing on all cylinders leading up to their return to the UK and Europe. Most recently the band have enlisted the services of veteran bass player Derek Engemann (Scour, Philip H Anselmo and The Illegals, ex-Cattle Decapitation) and he will be joining the band again as he did on the US tour.

Further to the new video King Parrot have just been added to the Acid Bath + Pentagram show in New York on July 25 at Brooklyn Paramount before joining “The Heaviest Tour of the Summer” alongside Pantera and Amon Amarth all over the US. The bands Australian album launch tour kicks off in May as they bring music from the new album to fans for the first time.

Guitarist Squiz had this to say about the concept of the new video: “Perplexed as to what drives the desires of seemingly already attractive people to cross that line into addictive, overblown, plastic surgery modification. And to just keep ramping it up? And then also, the lovers and appreciators of said mods? I mean, I got body issues up the wazoo but this stuff seems inherently dangerous and alien to me. In any case… As is your want!”
Further to the release of the single, King Parrot will be launching the new record all over Australia with a swag of new dates announced all around the country in May and June. A new US show alongside Acid Bath + Pentagram will take place in New York at Brooklyn Paramount on July 25 before the band join Pantera + Amon Amarth on “The Heaviest Tour of The Summer” all over the USA.

A hostile and abrasive slab of sensory destroying anthems, the record features ten thoroughly crafted blasts through the psyche of this crazed Aussie quintet. Recorded at Melbourne’s Dangertone studios with engineer Luke Walton, it’s the first full-length album since 2017’s critically adored Ugly Produce offering and their first new music since 2020’s Holed Up In The Lair EP.
Applying a similar approach to the writing process of their previous records, which has been historically organic and old-school, KING PARROT adopted a new approach to the studio process. Pulling the new record together was a meticulously creative endeavour and the final product is the most complete, aggressive, and urgent the band has ever sounded.

KING PARROT deliver this 3rd cut “PUNISH THE RUNT” from their forthcoming new album; a hook laden auditory assault encompassing all of the elements that King Parrot fans have come to know and love in the band’s sound. Encapsulating modern grindcore elements, alongside punk rock ethos and grooving riffs in a high paced mind-melting smorgasbord; “PUNISH THE RUNT” is a true reflection of King Parrot.
After the completion of the bands successful European dates vocalist Matt Young commented on the new single “This new one is a personal favourite of mine from the upcoming record. We enjoyed putting this one together and it’s got every aspect of what the band does in it, grind, thrash, punk and even rock’n’roll elements”. Australia’s notorious metal villains KING PARROT revealed European tour plans in support of their recently announced studio album,“Ugly Produce”. The band will hit the road with death metal giants DECAPITATED for a 29-date run (inlcuding 10 dates in the UK alone) in October and November 2017. “Ugly Produce” offers ten tracks of distinctively punishing and powerful anthems, veined deeply in the extreme underground sound. After recording the previous album in the US, 2017 saw the band head back home to where it all began – recording their third full-length album with Blood Duster‘s Jason PC, at the enigmatic Goatsound Studios. The mastering was done by Brad Boatwright at Audiosiege Studio (Sleep, High On Fire, Nails) in the US, while the cover artwork was created by Boyd Synnott and Simon Robins for GraphOrlock.

Flint firebrands KING 810 land a Ronnie James Dio main stage slot on Saturday in a UK festival exclusive, so will be your only chance to catch the band on these shores this summer! Their genre-busting album, “La Petite Mort (Or A Conversation With God)” was hugely lauded upon release last year, with leading US outlet, Metal Injection pronouncing it “2016’s best example of what an album should be”.
Black metal marauders INQUISITION will headline the Sophie Lancaster stage on Friday. The duo of Dagon and Incubus released their seventh album, “Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith” via Season Of Mist last August.
Lastly, KING PARROT fly in from their Aussie homeland for a Sophie stage slot. The self-dubbed “grindin’, thrashin’, punk wrecking machine” are on the road in support of their Phil Anselmo-produced disc, ‘Dead Set’.
