Rome-based rock band LACEBLACK, led by vocalist and songwriter Luca Celletti, will have the prestigious honour to open the former QUEENSRYCHE singer Geoff Tate’s concert on February 22nd at the Borderline Club in Pisa. Facebook Event-page here.

Geoff Tate will be performing with his band, OPERATION: MINDCRIME, on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary tour of the album with the same name, one of the most important music records in rock history which, released in 1988, is still a reference for the fans of this musical genre.

With millions of records sold together with QUEENSRYCHE, Geoff Tate is undoubtedly one of the most appreciated singers in Rock and Metal, and he played a prominent role in the Golden Age of Rock, along with artists like Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osborne, Ronnie James Dio, etc.

LACEBLACK is currently working on an international production for its original songs and has already took part in important events, as an opening act to Scottish vocalist Doogie White (Rainbow, Ynwie J. Malmsteen, Michael Schenker), Sanremo Rock contest (finalist), Dorset Festival in England, Earth Day Concert in Rome, Vertical Movie Festival in Rome, and also playing several gigs in Europe, including some clubs in London (The Fiddler’s Elbow, The Monarch) and Budapest.

Italy, Rome based rock act LACEBLACK, led by singer/songwriter Luca Celletti (Eurosmith), have released their new video for “Anytime”, taken from the “LaceBlack” album, released in April 2016. The video was shot at Teatro Andromeda (Santo Stefano Quisquina) by Dario Lo Vullo Videomaker, Michaela Berlini Video Editing. Music by Luca Celletti & Rould Battilani, Lyrics by Luca Celletti

In “LaceBlack” passion, romance and mystery are interlaced into an intensely sensual sound with Luca’s fierce and fiery vocal delivery.

The Album “LaceBlack” was recorded in Rome and Los Angeles and co-produced by Luca Celletti and Dani Macchi (founder and producer of rock noir band BELLADONNA), the album features Grammy-nominated producer Alex Elena (Alice Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Avril Lavigne and many others) on drums and includes the cover of a song from the Brian De Palma cult movie “Phantom of the Paradise”, Paul Williams-penned ballad “Old Souls”.

Italy, Rome based rock act LACEBLACK, led by singer/songwriter Luca Celletti (Eurosmith), are to release self-titled debut album, out in April, 2016! Just recently LACEBLACK unveiled the first teaser video for the song “Truth is On Our Face” from the album, watch it below.

Recorded in Rome and Los Angeles and co-produced by Luca Celletti and Dani Macchi (founder and producer of rock noir band BELLADONNA), the album features Grammy-nominated producer Alex Elena (Alice Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Avril Lavigne and many others) on drums and includes the cover of a song from the Brian De Palma cult movie “Phantom of the Paradise”, Paul Williams-penned ballad “Old Souls”.

I know Luca since 2008, when he and Eurosmith played at SanremOff (Sanremo-Italy). The other day we had a pleasant long chat, and this is what he told me…
