A fan jumped on stage last Thursday (November 1st) during ROBERT PLANT‘s show in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Estadio Luna Park forcing the LED ZEPPELIN singer down to the floor while security dragged the young man off-stage. The incident happened during his band THE SENSATIONAL SPACE SHIFTERS‘ encore of ‘Going To California’ and ‘Rock And Roll (about 11:20 in the YouTube video below).
LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant has recorded guest vocals for the new album from British modern rockers PRIMAL SCREAM, due in 2013.
Speaking to Mojo magazine, Plant said he wants to carry on singing, but doesn’t want to start a new band or make a full album. He said: “Everything we did back in those days and everything I have done since has been based on a fresh approach. What’s going on? What can I be as a singer that doesn’t play much? That’s how I see everything: what can I be a part of that’s exciting? And if anybody’s got any ideas, then I’m always up for it.” He added: “I sang a bit on the PRIMAL‘s stuff because I think their references on looking back on the glorious past and the way they bring them into the contemporary world are fantastic.”
Plant previously played harmonica on PRIMAL SCREAM‘s 2002 song “The Lord Is My Shotgun”, which was featured on the band’s “Evil Heat” album.
According to the UK’s The Sun, KISS bassist GENE SIMMONS claims he was once handed around £200 million to tempt LED ZEPPELIN surviving band members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones to reform.
The tongue-waggler said: “In 2009/10 I was given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy and Robert and trying to convince them to get back together.
“Of course, it didn’t work. Robert just doesn’t want to do it.”
Gene – who launched Kiss’s 20th album Monster last week – was told to get Zeppelin back together after their monumental one-off gig in 2007 at London’s O2.
Bet he was annoyed when he failed to seal the deal and land his cut of the monster payday the band would have got for a reunion tour.
Norwegian progressive/psychedelic black metallers ENSLAVED performed a cover version of LED ZEPPELIN‘s “Immigrant Song” on this week’s episode of “Trygdekontoret” on the Norwegian TV channel NRK. You can watch video footage of their appearance below.

The CD landed at position No. 8 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
The band’s previous album, “Axioma Ethica Odini”, opened with 1,400 units back in September 2010 to debut at No. 16 on the Top New Artist Albums chart.

LED ZEPPELIN met with the press on September 21 in London to launch “Celebration Day”. The band was adamant about not addressing any reunion rumors — despite the fact that they were promoting a film of their last reunion. When asked if the band would be performing together again, Jimmy Page told a reporter: “Let me ask you a question. Have you seen the film? Did you enjoy it? Then we’ve done our job, haven’t we?” When asked if ZEPPELIN would “do it again,” Plant cracked: “With you?”
Page told the press that he was thrilled with Jason Bonham‘s performance filling in for his late father, John Bonham, saying, “Jason was absolutely monumental. From the very first rehearsal right through to the O2.” Plant added: “It was appropriate and it was wonderful and also his vigor was so fantastic too. He drove us, y’know? It was peculiar and strange at times, but at the same time it was very rewarding for all of us.”
Plant went on to talk about the band’s relationship these days: “We don’t see each other too often, but we’ve just spent about an hour together. . .and no sooner we start talking, than some little innuendo creeps in. It’s just what happens when you’ve spent a lot of time together.”
When asked why it took five years for the 2007 reunion concert to see the light of day, John Paul Jones joked: “Five years is like five minutes in ZEPPELIN time.”
