WOLF: Swedish Metallers Busy Working On New Album With Top Producer

Following their highly successful 2011 album, “Legions Of Bastards,” Swedish metallers WOLF are busy at work for their seventh release. Vocalist Niklas Stålvind informed METAL SHOCK FINLAND’s Blackdiamond of the following news:

“We will meet up in my studio this weekend for a writing session and we will also meet up with a producer for the next album. All I can say now is that it’s a Swedish guy and he is one of the top producers in the world right now. So we’re excited.”

Towards the end of last year, WOLF completed a successful UK tour along with EVILE and they also released their own brand of “mega super hellish” hot sauce: “WOLF’S BLOOD HOT SAUCE.” Check out this location for more details about it.

Swedish heavy metallers WOLF have recently created a poll to find out which song from their latest album “Legions Of Bastards” is the most popular. You can vote in the poll at this location.

“Legions Of Bastards” was released in April 2011 via Century Media Records and was produced by Pelle Saether at Studio Underground in Vasterås, Sweden. The cover artwork was once again created by Thomas Holm (the man who was responsible for the legendary MERCYFUL FATE “Melissa” and “Don’t Break The Oath” covers) and can be viewed below.

Commented the band: “‘Legions Of Bastards’ is the fruit of lots of hard work, sweat and blood.

“Our music has always come from the heart, but this one seems to us even more honest and straight-forward than any other album we’ve made.

“We’re not afraid to say that this is a GREAT album. If you love it, like we do, raise the horns and bang your head! If you don’t — we don’t care. We’d still be banging our heads!”

Swedish heavy metallers WOLF will release their sixth album, “Legions Of Bastards”, via Century Media Records on the following dates:

Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway: Friday, April 22
Sweden, Finland, Hungary: Wednesday, April 27
North America, Spain, Italy: Tuesday, April 26
Rest Of Europe: Monday, April 25
Australia, New Zealand: Friday, April 29

The follow-up to 2009’s “Ravenous”, “Legions Of Bastards” was produced by Pelle Saether at Studio Underground in Vasterås, Sweden. Wolf Putting Finishing Touches On New Album

Swedish metallers WOLF have issued the following update:

“This coming weekend will be the end of the recording session of the new WOLF album ‘Legions Of Bastards’. The final lead vocals will be immortalized by Niklas ‘Razorthroat’ Viper and that means we’re done recording.

“We’re VERY excited and fired up to unleash this new album upon the metal community. Preparations for the upcoming [European] tour with ACCEPT and rehearsals are next on the roster so all of us is pulling their weight and we can’t wait to hit the road.”

“Legions Of Bastards” is scheduled for release in April via Century Media Records. The CD was previously described in a press release as “heavy” and “metal.” Nothing more, nothing less. Producer Pelle Saether of Studio Underground in Sweden has given the album a heavy and raw sound that these excellent new tracks deserve. Fans of WOLF’s previous efforts such as “Evil Star”, “The Black Flame” and “Ravenous” will not be disappointed, as the band kept true to its vision of what good ol’ in-your-face heavy metal is about.
