LUCIFER – one of the hardest working and incendiary acts in rock music today, has unveiled yet another new offering from their upcoming new studio album. The band is thrilled to share the third single from their soon-to-be-released LP, LUCIFER IV. The new single, “Crucifix (I Burn For You)”, is out now and available on all major streaming platforms. Watch and listen to the single HERE.
Speaking about the music video for the new track, vocalist Johanna Platow Andersson shares:
“We are thrilled to release the music video for our new single ‘Crucifix (I Burn For You)’.
The sequel to our last video ‘Bring Me His Head’ was shot in one take with a vintage 70s tube camera just like its predecessor by photographer Crille Forsberg and directed by Amir Chamdin. It has been a true honor to work with them, especially considering the astonishing portfolios they have under their belt. They’ve literally worked with anyone from The Hellacopters to Adele, from Ghost to Pharrell Williams. Very notable for me personally was Crille shooting David Bowie’s very last video ‘Lazarus’, that shook me to the bone. Well, and now they’ve worked with Lucifer. And what a bloody workday it was!”
‘LUCIFER IV’ will see an October 29th, 2021 release via Century Media, and is available in various formats.

LUCIFER are evidently one of the hardest working bands in rock right now. After turning heads with the release of their iconic album cover artwork last week, the group now has the next ace up their sleeves.
Today we are thrilled to share their brand new single and video for “Bring Me His Head”, the second single of their new studio album “LUCIFER IV”, which will be released on October 29th this year!
You can now check it out on all major streaming platforms HERE.
THE VIDEO PREMIERE is set for today at 6.00pm CET!
For this video, singer Johanna had the idea to pay tribute to Brian De Palmas 1976 horror classic “Carrie”.
She says: “‘Carrie’ is one of my favorite movies. Being an outsider myself my entire life, I’ve always identified with her. We are very excited that this time we got to work with director Amir Chamdin and photographer Crille Forsberg on our videos. Their body of work is quite breathtaking, if you look it up, so it was a real honor. The video to ‘Bring Me His Head’ is only one part of the story but we can’t give anything more away at this point.”
After LUCIFER‘s first taste of their new album “LUCIFER IV” last month with the single “Wild Hearses”, the group now reveals the cover artwork and track listing of their new long player today.
Inspired by the expressiveness of classic albums of the 70’s, the timeless provocative cover art of LUCIFER’s new album perfectly captures the group’s defiant stance and sonic presence.
Johanna Sadonis finds the following words about the creation of the album artwork:
“As a kid I was fascinated by Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’. A sexually liberated and very powerful business woman dancing in front of burning crosses. But that was considered self indulgent and blasphemous to many men, and unfortunately also some women. It was the ultimate provocation of “the whore”. To me figures like her and so many other women that try to express themselves freely and the backlash that follows, are symbolized by the eternal witch that gets put up on the stake and must be burnt to death. As a female in this world and in the business I’ve had my own share of emotional and physical abuse. It has not made me bitter but very defiant. The artwork, as well as some of the lyrical content of this album is my personal “Fuck You” to the patriarchy, to the men and their codependent women that have or have tried to belittle, gaslight, emotionally assault and spread untruths about me – the ones that tried to keep me from making music. Did I have to sign a contract to keep me silent in the past? Yes I have. But, here I am, continuing to make one album after the next with my great peers in Lucifer. Try to put me on the stake and I’ll laugh in your face. You can’t hold down my spirit. You can also look at the cover this way; the woman gets the role assigned of the ever so maternal holy Mary or the whore but not Jesus? So I decided I’m gonna get up on that damn cross myself then. Time to move over. I drew a sketch and we had it built by our cross carpenter general. Unfortunately not by Jesus, the carpenter, himself. One of my favorite photographers, Ester Segarra, masterfully captured the real life scene after my mock idea, that consisted of a wooden Jesus on a crucifix set aglow from below to symbolise the burning fire of the stake. If you see this cover as a mockery of Christianity – great – whatever tickles you! But it is so much more than that. And that is just the cover. I cannot wait to let the music speak, come album release!”
The track listing reads as follows:
Archangel Of Death (03:35)
Wild Hearses (04:56)
Crucifix (I Burn For You) (03:51)
Bring Me His Head (04:25)
Mausoleum (04:51)
The Funeral Pyre (01:44)
Cold As A Tombstone (04:16)
Louise (03:56)
Nightmare (05:07)
Orion (04:47)
Phobos (04:20)
“LUCIFER IV” will be released on October 29th this year!
After the release of the critically acclaimed “Lucifer III” last year, the Swedish/German heavy rock powerhouse LUCIFER didn’t rest on their laurels. With no shows in sight they relentlessly recorded in their studios and released three vinyl 45’s – one with a weighty rendition of TOM WAITS’ “Dirt in The Ground”, one a split with KADAVAR where LUCIFER covered DUST’s “Pull Away” and one tearing up the Northern Soul nugget “Gone With The Wind Is My Love” together with Elin from BLUES PILLS.
But not only that, LUCIFER completed their new long player “Lucifer IV”.
Today Century Media Records present to you the first album single “Wild Hearses”, a forerunner of what’s to come.
The group is ringing in a new chapter and dive even further into the grande realms of colossal old fashioned rock, with a severe morbid twist and certain doom.
LUCIFER invites you to take a wild ride in their 1972 Cadillac hearse past tombs and churches, down the very roads taken by Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Fleetwood Mac before them. Like the Pacific Coast Highway this road isn’t new. It’s timeless and it’s fucking beautiful.

LUCIFER are proud to present you their very own and striking interpretation of the Rita & The Tiaras classic “Gone With The Wind Is My Love”.
The single features a fabulous duet between Johanna of LUCIFER and Elin Larsson of Blues Pills and is now available on all major streaming platforms HERE!
Recorded in the band’s own studio, Elin Larsson was the perfect fit for this powerful soul ballad and comments as follows:
“I had the great pleasure workin’ together with LUCIFER! Lots of music and good vibes!
A special visualizer video based on the cover can be screened HERE!
Side B features a live version of the LUCIFER track “Cemetery Eyes”, which was recorded during last year’s Century Media Isolation Festival and will now be available physically in this version for the first time.
If you missed LUCIFER’s performance at the Century Media Isolation Festival, go check HERE.
Tracklisting:
SIDE A
“Gone With The Wind Is My Love” (feat. Elin Larsson [Blues Pills])
SIDE B
“Cemetery Eyes (Live)” (recorded at Century Media Isolation Festival 2020)
As the band is currently busy working on their international high praised 2020 follow-up “LUCIFER IV”, Nicke comments the current working progress as follows:
“We’re almost done mixing our new album “Lucifer IV” and with the risk of completely jinxing it, I think it’s safe to say we all have a pretty good feeling about this one. Obviously we like it and we can’t wait for people to hear it. If ‘Lucifer III’ was our Black Sabbath meets Fleetwood Mac album then ABBA hangs out with Trouble on this one. It’s that heavy.”
