A new live performance video for the track ‘Demiurge’, by Swedish extreme technical metal specialists MESHUGGAH, can be seen below. Combining extreme camera angles with adrenaline-inducing performance footage from the band’s sold-out show at Terminal 5 in New York City this past May, ‘Demiurge’ was filmed and directed by Anthony Dubois.
The song is off the band’s latest album, Koloss, released in late March and selling 41,400 copies in the US to date according to Nielsen SoundScan. Koloss debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in April, #24 on the Canadian Top 200 chart, #31 in the World Sales chart, and #48 on the German Media Control chart.
Meshuggah drummer Tomas Haake is featured in the video clips below performing for Sabian’s Cymbal Vote:
Cymbal Vote allows drummers from around the world to determine what new models Sabian will introduce in 2013.
Sabian has long been know for its innovation in cymbals, and each year the company develops more cool new ideas than it can introduce as new products in a single year. So it decided to let the musicians and fans decide.
At CymbalVote.com you can see the 12 cymbal candidates and dozens of videos. These clips give you the chance to hear the cymbals in several musical settings and even hear the player’s comments on how each performs.

Swedish metal masters extraordinaire MESHUGGAH will be taking their sonic arsenal and production that has already bulldozed U.K. and USA to mainland Europe on “The Ophidian Trek” tour, which launches November 22 in Hamburg, Germany. Direct support for all 19 shows will come from Nuclear Blast labelmates DECAPITATED; opening each night will be C.B MURDOC from Sweden.
