After a small ‘hiatus’, live shows are set to recommence, featuring a very special guest on vocals: Mikko Kotamäki from Swallow the Sun.

The Yorkshire based sextet have also revealed their final album single titled ‘Her Dominion‘, which is accompanied by an evocative lyric video created by Tommy Antonini.

A Mortal Binding, the much-anticipated follow-up to The Ghost of Orion (2020) finds the Yorkshire-based quintet delighting in anxiety, loss, and toil to resplendent effect. My Dying Bride hired The Ghost of Orion studio wizard Mark Mynett to produce, mix, and master A Mortal Binding. The group holed up at Mynett’s Mynetaur Productions (Divine Chaos, Rotting Christ) in Manchester, UK, where they tracked the album consecutively from July to September 2023.

For over three decades, My Dying Bride from West Yorkshire have been the voice of the hopeless and broken, combining haunting sounds with crushing misery and melancholy. With their signature sound they’ve shaped the doom metal scene like barely any other act and integrated both soft violin melodies and violent death metal growls into their music, whilst always staying strictly loyal to themselves. And since the early Nineties, the band’s masterminds and founding members Andrew Craighan and Aaron Stainthorpe forged beautiful grief into studio albums with songs of epic length. Today, the Yorkshire based sextet have revealed the second single from the record. The solemn, mournful track titled ‘The 2nd of Three Bells’ comes accompanied by a richly gothic video directed by Daniel Gray.

MY DYING BRIDE’s Classic 1996 show from Krakow, Poland now released as an expanded 2 disc CD & DVD featuring bonus live footage and promo videos; a release on vinyl for the first time as a gatefold double LP and as a digital album.

‘For Darkest Eyes’ contains the band’s iconic 1996 performance from Krakow, Poland, featuring numerous classic doom anthems from the early career of the UK Metal Gods. The show was filmed as the band was riding a wave of popularity due to their recent breakthrough third album, ‘The Angel & the Dark River’ (plus their tour with British metal legends Iron Maiden in the winter of 1995), showcasing several tracks from that release such as ‘The Cry of Mankind’ and ‘Your Shameful Heaven’, as well as renditions of other established numbers such as ‘The Crown of Sympathy’ and ‘The Forever People’.

On the 2 disc set the DVD includes additional footage from several early shows from 1992 and 1993, as well as an appearance at the esteemed Dynamo Festival from 1995, plus six promo videos, a 12 page booklet and cover artwork adapted from the original video tape release.
