As reported by multiple news sources, members of the Toronto, Canada-based metal trio CAULDRON were involved in an accident with their tour van Sunday night outside of Dallas, Texas.

The band, as part of their North American tour with Enforcer, Warbringer and Exmortus, were en route to New Orleans, LA for their next show when their van hit debris from a previous accident on the roadway causing the vehicle to roll over several times before coming to rest on its roof.

Guitarist Ian Chains suffered broken bones in his neck and back and is currently in a Texas-based hospital recovering.

Due to the crash and Chains’ injuries, CAULDRON have been forced to cancel all remaining dates of their North American tour.

Say the band, “Sorry to report the unfortunate news of our accident (not at fault [by the way]) on the highway in Texas last night and that we will have to pull out of the remaining eight tour dates. Ian [Chains, guitar] is recovering in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, otherwise everyone is going to be okay. We are just happy to be alive at this point. Thanks for your support and to our tour mates Enforcer, Warbringer & Exmortus; we had fun and wish you all the best.  Hope to see you all again soon.”

CAULDRON has released the “Into The Cauldron” EP (now long out of print), as well as three full-length albums: “Chained to the Nite” (2009), “Burning Fortune” (2011), “Tomorrow’s Lost” (2012) and the “Moonlight Desires” EP (2014).

The band has toured the world with the likes of Municipal Waste, Death Angel, Nevermore, Diamond Head, Enforcer, and in the summer of 2013, were invited to play Metallica‘s Orion Fest in Detroit.

“Burning Fortune “was nominated for a Juno award in 2012 while the video for the single ‘All or Nothing’ has received over 460,000 views on YouTube to date and was featured in the video game RockBand.

The group’s critically acclaimed new release, “In Ruin”, was released on January 8 via The End Records.
