Brazilian death metal lords NERVOCHAOS have announced their new singer, Brian Stone. Read below.
Stated the band:
“After a period of tests NervoChaos has a new singer.
NervoChaos carried out a two-step selection process. The first step had 13 candidates, who received a new song with lyric. Each one recorded a demo in their own way and sent it to the band. They were candidates from Brazil, Mexico and USA. Of these 13 candidates, the band selected 3 for the second step, in which they decided on Stone.”
Born in Germany, Stone soon moved to the U.S. and began his music career at the age of 17 in a band called Cixth Disciple. This high school garage band would not last long and Stone and a colleague (Nick Jackson) formed Contortion almost immediately after. Between 2001 and 2008, Contortion performed hundreds of shows and played with bands like Dry Kill Logic, Ankla, Six Feet Under, Prong, Sworn Enemy, Overkill, Satyricon, among others. With Contortion Stone recorded the albums “Manipulation of the Mind” (2004), “Masterpiece of Domination” (2008), “Live Grenade” (EP, 2013) and “False Flag Paradigm” (EP, 2014). In addition to being a vocalist, Stone also plays guitar at Contortion.
Stone sends a message to NervoChaos’ fans: “Greetings straight from California! First I want to thank my new mates in NervoChaos for this great opportunity! We know that the fans are waiting patiently for the new album and we are all looking forward to producing something uniquely heavy for all of you. This is a strong team of musicians and I am honored to become an integral part of the band. I can’t wait to see everyone on tour! #keepitmetal”
Soon Stone will come to Brazil, where he will have as his first big challenge, the recording of the new NervoChaos album, which will be released in 2021, the year that the band will complete 25 years.
The new line-up is: Brian Stone (vocals), Luiz “Quinho” Parisi (guitar), Woesley Johann (guitar), Pedro Lemes (bass) and Edu Lane (drums).
