Good news from NERVOCHAOS’ front. The War Tank is at full throttle working on several new projects!
The first thing that should come out is a new demo, to be released on cassette tape, that’s right, following tradition, the band is recording a demo on the nostalgic format! The title of the work will be ‘Of Evil and Man’ and is scheduled for July this year. The demo was recorded by Bruno Scarabotto at Espaço Som Studio, mixed and mastered by Eldar Ibrahimovic at Armageddon Studio. More information coming soon!
The material being prepared for mid-year is a special DVD in tribute to guitarist Cherry Taketani, who died late last year. The title will be ‘Hail Cherry’ and a date and details will come very soon.
Of course NERVOCHAOS are also working on their new studio album that’s already been awaited with much anxiety by fans around the world. Recordings should start in the second semester.
Recalling that the lineup that will register the new materials counts on the return of the guitarist Guiller, who had already played with the band from 2009 to 2015. He joins Edu Lane, Lauro Nightrealm and Thiago.
Late last year the Brazilian death metal lords NERVOCHAOS lost their beloved guitarist Cherry Taketani, who entered the band in 2015 and recorded the album ‘Nyctophilia’, in addition participated in hundreds of shows around the world. Today NERVOCHAOS is ready to announce the return of their former guitarist, Guiller:
“Finally we announce our new line-up. After the early loss of guitarist Cherry Taketani late last year, we returned to work and announce our new line-up.
The new member is already known to fans of the band, guitarist Guiller, who was with us from 2009 to 2015, and now returns to the post. The rest of the band remains intact with Edu Lane, Lauro Nightrealm and Thiago Anduscias.
We are getting ready to return to the stages and soon we will announce the first dates of this year’s tour. We are also preparing new material for the next studio album and soon we will have news to announce. Stay tuned!”

NERVOCHAOS lament the death of guitarist and friend Cherry Taketani. The musician had been a member of the band since 2015, having recorded the album ‘Nyctophilia’, in addition to participate in hundreds of shows around the world.
The band had arrived from a tour in Russia on November 20 and the guitarist was hospitalized on the 22nd when she was diagnosed with cancer.
“We just got the word of the death of our guitarist Cherry. Recently she was diagnosed with cancer and could not resist the fight coming to pass. Our sincere feelings to her family and friends. R.I.P. warrior!!!”
NERVOCHAOS went on to previously scheduled concerts in Colombia with former guitarist Quinho: “We were not only expecting, but also counting on her recovery from the treatment and so we put Quinho to fullfil the commitments with the band for the rest of this year.”

The band confirms that it will continue to do the next concerts scheduled until the end of the year, there will be another seven dates and will be attended by the guitarist Quinho. “This is our way of celebrating Cherry’s memory, we’re going to do those shows with a lot of energy, just the way she always did!”
Cherry was buried on Sunday, December 3 at the Morumbi Cemetery and in her great history with the Brazilian underground started with Okotô, through Hellsakura and NervoChaos.
US death metal act VITAL REMAINS‘ Frontman and good friend of Cherry, Brian Werner pays his tribute to Cherry in form of a memorial video (watch it here):

During these 20+ years of NERVOCHAOS victorious career, their name has become synonymous of much work, honesty, (many) shows and high quality Extreme Metal.
With their new album, ‘Nyctophilia’, released this year via Greyhaze Records is not different. Even with changes in the formation, the album is another masterpiece with power of NERVOCHAOS. For the first time the group recorded abroad and went to Italy, to the studio of producer and friend Alex Azzali, Alpha Omega, where it was recorded, mixed and mastered. The album also features special guests Sebastian L. from the band Into Darkness and Leandro P. from the band R.N.S. In addition to the track, ‘Vampiric Cannibal Goddess’, which features the riffs composed by Ragnarok’s Bolverk.
