NIGHTWISH have announced a headline show at Wembley SSE Arena on the 19th December 2015, which will be their only UK date this year.
The band will be making history by being the first ever Finnish band to headline this famous venue.
Mastermind Tuomas Holpainen comments – “Who would have thought about headlining at Wembley Arena one day when we were starting our UK touring history from the downstairs of the legendary Astoria Club in London over ten years ago. This truly is a dream come true for us !”
The date will feature the band’s full production giving UK fans a spectacular stage show, as well as their the first chance to hear tracks from the upcoming new album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” live.
Support comes from Swedish extreme metal band ARCH ENEMY and fellow Finnish melancholic metallers AMORPHIS.
Tickets go on sale this Friday 13th February at 10am and will be available here:
NIGHTWISH vocalist Floor Jansen has hit out at their upcoming single ‘Élan’ being leaked. Via Instagram, Floor stated:
“Don’t like! Who was the disrespectful ‘fan’ that put our single out before release? We work SO hard to create something special, in high quality! And you think it’s ok to steal it? Dear REAL fans: this Èlan version is NOT official and sounds unlike the real thing!!!! Please wait for our official release next week on the 13th of February! And know that a single is one song, always impossible to cover the contents of an entire album in this one example 🙂 I red reactions based on this illegal spread monster and got sad to the bones with the words based on one song in poor quality illegally spread. Have patience and I have no doubt it will be rewarded.”
New album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” is set for release in March, 27th (EU), 30th (UK) and 31st (US). Check out a trailer below:
Here is a personal comment on this episode by Tuomas:
“The writing process was extremely smooth and relatively easy. I had more fun than ever during the recordings. The Röskö summer camp was a lot of fun. The days were filled with friendship, hope and music. Obviously the sad thing was that Jukka had to step aside – but everything else has been really good.” And Marco added: “The songs did grow during the process. We started out with Tuomas’ computer demos and my own demos. We put them together – and started building the songs around those basic blocks. They really grew in depth and character along the way.”

“We can all enjoy the fact that it’s finally done. We don’t have to, or want to, add anything more. It’s exactly like we all want it to be. There’s a healthy, paternal pride . . . I’m really grateful that people are expecting it so eagerly. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your passion. Thank you for your loyalty.”
Backing vocalist & pipe player Troy Donockley adds: “In all objectivity, I think it’s the best NIGHTWISH album ever. I really do. It truly is like reading an epic book.”

“There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.”
– Charles Darwin, “The Origin Of Species”
