Selbu/Norway 26th of April: The allstar project NERGARD finally hits the stage in a big scale with three internationally known singers in front: TONY MILLS (ex TNT, ex SHY), NILS K. RUE (Pagan’s Mind) & ANDI KRAVLJACA (Aeon Zen, Thaurorod). Led by the mastermind of this project Andreas Nergård they pulled of a 2 hour long show packed with Nergard-materiale and rock/metalclassics, uniting these three vocalgiants in classics tunes such as “I Was Made For Loving You” (Kiss), “Here I Go Again” (Whitesnake) and “The Show Must Go On” (Queen). This night also saw the first ever duet between Nils K. Rue and Andi Kravljaca on the Aeon Zen-track “Time Divine”. Check out below the clips from the show:

In the clip below, PAGAN’S MIND vocalist Nils K. Rue sings the holiday classic ‘White Christmas’ for Norway’s Radio Grenland TV:

Having appeared on Norwegian melodic metal-outfit NERGARD’s debut concept album Memorial For A Wish, Rue is confirmed to appear on the follow-up.

The new album, which ends the tragic story about the unfortunate man Peter O’Donnell, is scheduled for release in late 2014 and will feature a string of well-known names. So far Tony Mills (ex-TNT, ex-SHY) and Andi Kravljaca (AEON ZEN) have been confirmed, as well as the up and coming Ben Rodgers (TELLUS REQUIEM) and Thomas Løseth (TEMPO).

Norwegian Melodic Metalact NERGARD annonces Nils K. Rue (PAGAN’S MIND) as the next singer in the line-up for the follow-up album to “Memorial for a Wish” which was released in April of 2013 as the first part of a two-act metalopera. The new album, which ends the tragic story about the unfortunate man Peter O’Donnell, is scheduled for release in late 2014 and will feature a string of well-known names. So far Tony Mills (ex TNT, ex Shy) and Andi Kravljaca (Aeon Zen) have been confirmed + the up and coming Ben Rodgers (Tellus Requiem) and Thomas Løseth (Tempo).

Singer Nils K. Rue from Norwegian power metal band PAGAN’S MIND kicked off the 2013 season of the Norwegian leg of The Voice in late August performing the classic IRON MAIDEN song ‘Run To The Hills’ on his Blind Audition.

“First of all thank you so very much for all your nice comments – it warms my heart and soul. In just a few weeks or so the video has reached 35,000 views which is more than almost any video of the band on YouTube. Commercial media has that power and approximately 750,000 Norwegians saw this on air on Friday night, which is a record back here. It’s all in the love of music that I did this. To push the band name more, to get contacts and to get more recognition for my singing here in Norway. I wish I could say it differently but even if Pagan’s Mind has lots of fans outside of Norway, none of us are able to live off the music. It’s a hard competition and my dream is still to live off my singing, so I thought what the heck – lets give it a try. Actually it was my fiancee Renée on the picture that applied for me without me knowing about it, and when one of the producers called me I said yes. For me, its just been a fun thing and nothing too serious- but it has already given me and the band national recognition, and as a plus giving the youngsters some old-school metal in the jungle of pop music, thought it would be a good thing. Thanks again everyone.”

Norwegian power metallers PAGAN’S MIND have checked in with the following message:

“Hiya friends and fans, this up and coming Friday (30th) at 20.00 CET our one and only Nils (K. Rue) will kick off the 2013 season of the Norwegian leg of “The Voice” on the big commercial station TV2 – so stay tuned in front of your television sets as Nils will be performing none less than the classic Iron Maiden song “Run To The Hills” on his “Blind Audition”. Thats something else than doing auditions singing Justin Bieber and Beyonce, wouldnt you think? Viewers will be around 800,000!”
