Power metal supergroup NORTHTALE are pleased to return with some big news. The band proudly announce that they will be a part of the ‘Tour Of The Dark Realm 2023’, supporting BLOODBOUND alongside ARION and TUNGSTEN. The tour kicks off in Berlin on February 28th, 2023, visiting 13 cities across Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, and The Netherlands.
NORTHTALE’s original 2021 European tour had been cancelled due to the difficult global situation at the time; therefore, the band are thrilled to finally have the chance to perform for the first time in front of European audiences.
Bill Hudson comments: “We’re very stoked to be going on our very first European tour! Even better, supporting our brothers in BLOODBOUND, which we’ve been friends with since the beginning and have already performed together in Japan! Recently, power metal newcomers NORTHTALE announced their new album, “Eternal Flame”, which is set to be released on November 12th via Nuclear Blast. Produced by Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69, UNISONIC), the album features 12 brand new tracks and a whole range of new influences, from thrash metal, classical citations and Brazilian traditional music, all fused into NORTHTALE’s own brand of melodic power metal.
The band has revealed a lyric video for their stunning second single ‘Midnight Bells’, watch it below.
Bill Hudson states: “This is one of my favorite songs, and one of the heavier ones, on the record. Musically, I was able to fuse my influences of thrash, traditional and power metal all into one piece I’m really proud of. Lyrically, Guilherme got to bring some of our Brazilian touch into our music for the first time.”
Guilherme Hirose adds: “This song is hugely personal, and very special to me. It is about my spiritual beliefs, and it gives me a chance to introduce some of our Brazilian mystical traditions to the world. I hope you can feel the strong mystical energy emanating from Midnight Bells!”

After their debut show at SABATON OPEN AIR in Sweden followed by shows in Japan, the band underwent a lineup change and after months of auditions, the new vocalist, Guilherme Hirose from Sao Paolo, Brazil was chosen.

While the world was hiding inside their homes, a lot of musicians just went into the studio to create new music, and we were no different. Guilherme has blown our minds in the studio, and I am pretty sure we’ve created a much better record than our debut. This also made me want to listen to him sing some of our old songs, so we recorded a few of those in the studio and we get to show them to you now! Sadly, it’ll be a few months before our new album is out, but rest assured, it’ll come out in time for our European tour with UNLEASH THE ARCHERS and STRIKER this winter! We will start it off with my favorite song in the entire album, ‘Follow Me’!”

Vancouver, Canada based UNLEASH THE ARCHERS were formed in late 2007 by vocalist and front-woman Brittney Slayes, together with her partner and the band’s drummer Scott Buchanan. Spanning the gap between various forms of metal, genre-blending has become their speciality, and the resulting product is a potent mix of intelligent song-writing and technically versatile musicianship.
