Young modern metal hopes FOREVER STILL just recently finished their big European tour with LACUNA COIL and barely caught their breath again, but they’re already out to conquer the new year 2017. With this new video, showing a haunting acoustic version of their latest hit ‘Miss Madness’, they want to thank the fans for their support in 2016. The Danes are currently working on new live dates and are already confirmed for “When Copenhell Freezes Over” festival in Copenhagen on January 28th – more shows will be announced soon!

After ten successful years with the label Nuclear Blast, British progressive protagonists THRESHOLD have signed a new contract and extended their partnership with the label in July 2016. Furthermore, they have also announced plans for their next release: THRESHOLD are currently recording their 11th masterpiece at Thin Ice Studios in England, a new concept album that will be called “Legends Of The Shires”. It is being produced by Karl Groom and Richard West and it’s scheduled to be released in 2017. More information will be revealed soon.
But that’s not enough: Today, the band is also announcing the dates for the “Legends Of The Shires”-Tour 2017 where you’ll be able to fully experience songs from the new album on stage!

German thrash titans KREATOR have revealed the cover art and release details for their upcoming album, “Gods Of Violence”, check it out below:
The 14th KREATOR album is set to be released on January 27, 2017 worldwide via Nuclear Blast Records.
The cover art was created by renowned artist Jan Meininghaus, who also did the limited edition artwork for KREATOR‘s last album, “Phantom Antichrist” (2012) and lent his talents to band like BOLT THROWER, ACCEPT or OVERKILL in the past. Find the intimidating artwork below.
Commented KREATOR mastermind Mille Petrozza: “‘Gods Of Violence’ was the first song I wrote for this album and it stuck to me as the title track. It contains everything KREATOR is known for and it will blow your minds. Promise!” Regarding the artwork Petrozza adds: “The cover of is a perfect reflection of my lyrical vision. I think this is Jan Meininghaus’ best work so far.”

The album was recorded under the watchful eyes of producer Juan Urteaga (EXODUS, HEATHEN, MACHINE HEAD), guitarist Eric Peterson and singer Chuck Billy and was mixed and mastered by well-known metal producer Andy Sneap (ACCEPT, ARCH ENEMY, CRADLE OF FILTH, KREATOR, MACHINE HEAD, MEGADETH).

Commented Peterson in an interview with Metal Maniac: “It’s very diverse, but it’s very epic. There’s nothing on there that breeds commercial. And I think for thirty years of recording music and trying different formulas and stuff, I think we’ve found a formula that is very metal. I think for the metal fan that is looking for something for the nook and crannies… not just your normal, ‘Oh, it’s got a thrash beat and a riff.’ There’s a lot going on here.”
The songwriter also told Metal Forces in another interview: “It’s different. This one is more thrash. I mean, this has got some of the fastest stuff that we have ever played. Usually, we have one or two thrash songs, and then we have some mid-tempo, and then we have a slow, heavy one, and then up-tempo kind of stuff. Half of the new record is thrash, which we’ve never done before.”
He continued: “It’s kind of like »Demonic« and »The Gathering«, but a little bit wiser, I think. Chuck’s not singing so death. I mean, he does some death stuff but he’s singing more like he did on the last record and then with the craziness of »The Gathering« or even heavy stuff like »Demonic«.”
