Late last year the Brazilian death metal lords NERVOCHAOS lost their beloved guitarist Cherry Taketani, who entered the band in 2015 and recorded the album ‘Nyctophilia’, in addition participated in hundreds of shows around the world. Today NERVOCHAOS is ready to announce the return of their former guitarist, Guiller:
“Finally we announce our new line-up. After the early loss of guitarist Cherry Taketani late last year, we returned to work and announce our new line-up.
The new member is already known to fans of the band, guitarist Guiller, who was with us from 2009 to 2015, and now returns to the post. The rest of the band remains intact with Edu Lane, Lauro Nightrealm and Thiago Anduscias.
We are getting ready to return to the stages and soon we will announce the first dates of this year’s tour. We are also preparing new material for the next studio album and soon we will have news to announce. Stay tuned!”

NERVOCHAOS’ latest album ‘Nyctophilia’ was released in Brazil by Cogumelo Records/Voice Music and in North America and Europe by Greyhaze Records. The art of both the cover and the booklet was created the talented Brazilian artist Alcides Burn (Blood Red Throne, Acheron, Iconoclasm, Malefactor, Queiron, Headhunter DC, etc). ‘Nyctophilia’ was recorded in Italy at Alpha Omega Studio, along with producer Alex Azzali, who is also responsible for mixing and mastering the work. During these 20+ years of NERVOCHAOS victorious career, their name has become synonymous of much work, honesty, (many) shows and high quality Extreme Metal.
With their new album, ‘Nyctophilia’, released this year via Greyhaze Records is not different. Even with changes in the formation, the album is another masterpiece with power of NERVOCHAOS. For the first time the group recorded abroad and went to Italy, to the studio of producer and friend Alex Azzali, Alpha Omega, where it was recorded, mixed and mastered. For the cover another world renown, the Brazilian Alcides Burn.
The album also features special guests Sebastian L. from the band Into Darkness and Leandro P. from the band R.N.S. In addition to the track, ‘Vampiric Cannibal Goddess’, which features the riffs composed by Ragnarok’s Bolverk.

This is absolutely the most extreme, nasty, agressive and maniacal album I’ve heard for a long long time! “Nyctophilia” surely is the best album up to now from NERVOCHAOS, holding true to their legacy, and even more! The album creates a whole new level of the dark side! Each drum beat, rich of violent rhythms, badass guitar and bass riffs and demonical vocals enter into your mind and soul, leaving there a permanent imprint!
Even though the whole album is an outstanding piece of extreme art, I want to pick up the pearls like “Ad Majorem Satanae Gloriam”, “Ritualistic”, “Rites Of The 13 Cemeteries”, “Moloch Rise”, “Stained With Blood” and “The Midnight Hunter”, in this particular order, in which NERVOCHAOS blast you into the world of darkness, occult and black magic! It’s a one-way ticket, but trust me, you don’t really mind not returning… 😉 \m/
