As previously announced, various metal musicians have recently posted their condolence messages on the passing of legendary flamenco guitarist Paco De Lucia. Yngwie Malmsteen and John Petrucci also paid tribute with the following messages:
Yngwie Malmsteen: “RIP Paco De Lucia We lost one of the truely great ones! My sincere condolence to his family. God Bless You… From The Malmsteen Family.”
John Petrucci: “Today we mourn the loss of one of the world’s greatest. May you rest in peace Paco de Lucia. ‘Friday Night In San Francisco’ remains one of the most influential albums of all time for me as a guitarist.”

According to BBC News, Spanish guitarist Paco De Lucia has died aged 66 in Mexico, reportedly of a heart attack while playing with his children on a beach.
