The musician/producer Pier reveals that he is working on an instrumental solo album in his own Musicart studios in Genoa (Italy), in collaboration with Diamonds Prod. Leaked rumors talk about a possible release in 2020. Further details will follow soon.

Italian power metallers ATHLANTIS, project of Steve Vawamas, have signed a deal with Diamonds Prod, to release a new album in 2017.
The band, coming from Genoa (Italy) area exists since around fifteen years. Third album will be released during current year.
ATHLANTIS’ line-up consists of:

Italian heavy metal project ODYSSEA – featuring Pier Gonella on guitars (Mastercastle, Necrodeath, Vanexa etc) and Roberto Tiranti on vocals (ex-Labyrinth, Wonderworld) – has revealed the complete track listing and final special guests for their upcoming second album “Storm”, set to be released in December, via Diamonds Prod. Recorded and mixed by Pier Gonella at Musicart Studios in Rapallo (Genoa-Italy).

After some live shows with Marco “Spino” Spinelli, who came back in VANEXA after Roberto Tiranti‘s departure, the band has found Ranfa (Andrea Ranfagni) and announce him as their new vocalist.
Comments the band:
“Ranfa has experience and the right charisma to be in the band. He worked with international musicians such as Ian Paice (Deep Purple) , Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Tracy G (Ronnie James Dio) and James Christian (House Of Lords), so he will surely bring an added value to the band”.
The new Vanexa project, “Too Heavy To Fly” will be featuring the new guitarist Pier Gonella and Ranfa as singer.
