QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT have announced another show, on July 7th in Wroclaw, Poland.

A press release states: Queen and Adam Lambert have announced a further European concert together as part of dates they will play this summer. The latest date added is July 7th, when Queen, joined by Lambert, will perform as the headliner of a new festival, Rock In Wroclaw, Poland, appearing at the city’s Municipal Stadium as one of only a handful of concerts Queen and Lambert will perform in Europe this summer.
Following on from their concert at Moscow Sports Arena on July 3rd, this Poland performance will be among the very first shows Queen and Lambert play together. They then go on to play London’s HMV Apollo Hammersmith July 11th and 12th. The Hammersmith dates sold out instantly they went on sale and there is expectation Queen and Lambert could well add a further London date, although there is yet to be any officially announcement.
Tickets for the Polish show are on sale from Monday next week, April 30th. Prices and purchase points are yet to be announced although enquiries are being directed to Rockinwroclaw.pl and Ticketteam.pl.

West End smash hit musical “We Will Rock You” has announced the on-sale date of tickets for its upcoming special tenth anniversary celebration show which will take place at the Dominion Theatre, London, on Monday, May 14.

Created by Ben Elton and QUEEN, the musical opened at the Dominion on May 14, 2002, and has since earned itself a place in the top ten of the West End’s longest running musicals in a list which includes “Phantom Of The Opera”, “Les Misérables” and “The Lion King”.
Tickets for the tenth-anniversary special show, which for this night will have an earlier start time of 7:00 p.m., are on sale from 10.00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, and include a limited number of special priority seats. Ticket application details follow below.
“We Will Rock You”‘s continuing popular appeal was most recently highlighted when nine years after it opened, it won the 2011 Olivier Audience Award for “Best Musical,” the only award voted entirely by the public. This is the second award received by public vote, following on from the WhatsOnStage.com “Best New Musical” award the show received in 2003.
In its ten-year run, “We Will Rock You” has built a fiercely loyal following across all ages with some fans having visited the show more than 400 times, couples have met and married through the show, and when QUEEN‘s Brian May himself popped up in the box office to personally hand over the 1 millionth ticket purchased (September 22, 2003), it was a 61-year-old grandmother who was buying the ticket to treat her 4-year-old great grandson to see the show. And what other show could boast Beyoncé, Britney Spears and Pink in the house on the same night, or other celebrity fans such as Demi Moore, Priscilla Presley, and Liza Minnelli, as well as a certain famous British actress who has slipped in to see the show 17 times.
The show has now been seen by over 6 million people at the Dominion and 13 million around the world.
While no one is yet issuing a list of what special guests might be expected in the audience or possibly even on stage come the night of May 14, with the credentials of creators QUEEN and Ben Elton and its producers, which include Robert de Niro, there’s reason to believe in finding signs of scorched earth around the site of the Dominion Theatre the day after.

The QUEEN documentary “Days Of Our Lives” will be shown during the Special Screenings section of the 11th annual edition of the Tribeca Film Festival, set to take place from April 18 to April 29 in New York City.
“Queen: Days Of Our Lives” sees Roger Taylor and Brian May looking back at the band’s incredible career in candid detail for the first time. The film explores the remarkable story of Brian, Roger, John Deacon and Freddie Mercury — looking into the early struggles, huge obstacles, success, arguments, breakups, triumph, tragedy and an enduring legacy — all against a backdrop of brilliant music and stunning live performances. With an extensive archive of unseen footage (the producers uncovered QUEEN‘s first-ever TV performance, missing believed wiped, and shown here for the first time) plus remarkable archive interviews with Freddie Mercury, the documentary is the band’s story in their own words — a compelling journey told with intelligence, wit, plenty of humour and painful honesty.
The documentary covers each of the band’s studio albums, their legendary world tours of the ’70s and ’80s as they conquered South and North America and Asia, Live Aid and their enduring success since the passing of Freddie leading up to the present day and a popularity that continues to grow yearly.
“Queen: Days Of Our Lives” is produced by Rhys Thomas (the comedian who famously broke the “Mastermind” all-time record points score with a specialist subject of QUEEN) and Simon Lupton, and is directed by the renowned director Matt O’Casey.
Rhys Thomas comments: “We have set out to make the definitive QUEEN documentary. It’s a funny, honest, inspiring and ultimately tragic account of ‘a certain band called QUEEN,’ as told by the band themselves. We tell the story of four students who met in West London, slogged hard and conquered the world, ultimately changing rock music forever.” Source: Blabbermouth.net
Having last week announced a special one-off UK concert performing with ADAM LAMBERT at the Sonisphere Festival, Knebworth on July 7, legendary rock band QUEEN has announced it will play an additional earlier date with the singer when Queen and Lambert appear at Moscow’s Olympic Arena on June 30th.
These two shows are the only concerts presently planned for Queen and Lambert in 2012.
Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor met Lambert during the finals of American Idol Season 8 in May 2009 where Lambert joined the band to perform We Are The Champions.
Since then the band and Lambert have repeatedly hinted at a future collaboration, most recently with Queen’s Roger Taylor telling Billboard Magazine “”He (Adam)has grown into a really great performer with an astonishing voice with a range that’s great. We would like to work with him again. There’s nothing signed just yet but …it could be very exciting.”
Lambert, who in the end placed second in AI, has since established a fast-rising career as an emerging rock artist . His solo album For Your Entertainment released just after the end of the Idol season debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 in December 2009 and he went on to receive the Young Hollywood Award Artist Of The Year.
Recently, at the invitation of Brian May and Roger Taylor, Lambert made a second guest appearance with Queen, joining the band for the closing of the MTV Europe Awards where May and Taylor were present to collect the Global Icon Award for Queen.
Their eight minute MTVE set ignited an immediate reaction across the internet with social network sites buzzing with excitement and campaigning for more from Queen and Lambert.
The Moscow Olympic Arena show on June 30, coming a full week ahead of their UK show, will provide the very first opportunity to see what comes out of May, Taylor and Lambert finally getting to fully explore their very evident artistic appreciation of one another.

Says Brian May: “Judging by my incoming mail, this decision will make a lot of people very happy. It’s a worthy challenge for us, and I’m sure Adam would meet with Freddie’s approval!“
Talking of his forthcoming summer concert appearances with Queen, Lambert says: “The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some great songs. It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of. There’s no intention in my mind of replacing Freddie. That’s impossible. The way I’m choosing to view it is that it’s a great honour and one I’m in no way going to shirk … Being asked to appear with Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen.”
Queen became popular in the mid-’70s and remain one of the most successful bands in the history of rock music. They released 15 studio and 5 live albums as well as numerous compilations. Among them 18 albums ranked #1 in music charts worldwide and the estimated total number or record sales around the world exceeds 300 million.
Since the death of singer Freddie Mercury in 1991 Brian May and Roger Taylor have continued to honour the legacy of Queen by performing alone or with guest vocalists, allowing fans the possibility to hear live such rock classics as ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘We Are the Champions’, ‘I Want To Break Free’, ‘Another One Bites The Dust’, ‘Radio Ga Ga’ and others.
Queen’s music also continues to kept alive and reach new audiences through the world-wide success of the band’s hit musical “We Will Rock You” which has been performed across the world and in May will celebrate an unbroken ten-year run on the same stage in London at the Dominion Theatre.

QUEEN‘s Brian May and Roger Taylor have confirmed the band will headline the second day of U.K.’s Sonisphere appearing on the Apollo stage on Saturday, July 7. Knebworth was the setting for QUEEN‘s final concert with Freddie Mercury, in August 1986.
May and Taylor also confirmed that for this very special event they will be joined by U.S. singer-songwriter, and “American Idol” finalist, Adam Lambert.
The potent chemistry between QUEEN and Lambert broke the surface when at the invitation of Brian May and Roger Taylor, Lambert joined them for the closing showcase at the recent MTV Europe Music Awards where QUEEN were present to collect their “Global Icon” award.
During a brand new interview with NME.com, Lambert insisted that he is not trying to replace the later Freddie Mercury. He said, “The way I look at it is I’m not trying to imitate or outdo him or compete in any way, that’s not even in my mind at all, I think it’s really an honor to be asked to sing the music that he and the band wrote and get up there and put on a good show. If people are too busy trying to compare, they’re not going to enjoy the music.”
Although Lambert did not rule out another collaboration with QUEEN in the future, he insisted that for now the Knebworth show is simply a one-off. He told NME.com, “One of the things [people have said] was, ‘He’s gonna be the permanent frontman of QUEEN.’ And although that would be a beautiful experience, the tricky thing this year for me is I also have my album coming out, ‘Trespassing’, and that’s gonna take a lot of work and time and energy. So it’s really a one-off experience with the band, and I’m really excited for it. But I’m not joining the band and touring with them.”
