RIK SORCI is a young Italian singer and guitarist who makes his debut today on the ever-active Volcano Records with his first single, “Alright (but I’m drinking too much)”.

Behind this ironic and promising title lies a surprising, hypnotic track: a provocative manifesto packed with musical references, sonic textures and songwriting influences that could easily be described as vintage. Yet, coming from the creative mind of such a young musician, they sound extraordinarily fresh. Sorci brings together the Rolling Stones and Alice In Chains, blending British influences with the irreverence and restless attitude of the American West Coast, all delivered with the swagger and charisma of a modern-day Lou Reed. The result is a bouncing, electrifying track, an instant classic that demands to be played over and over again, just like those songs that catch you off guard and leave you craving more.

Rik reveals that “Alright (but I’m drinking too much)” is only the beginning of a new artistic chapter, one that will be explored and developed alongside Volcano Records over the coming months. It’s a promise that no lover of great music and dusty, road-trip-ready rock ‘n’ roll should be able to resist.
