Italian Blackened Doom Metallers RITI OCCULTI showcase a new form of black metal – one that blends inextricably with doom and ritualistic music, and this five-piece from Rome is back with a new single!
RITI OCCULTI have partaken in time travel, not only to cover The Beatles’ classic, “Eleanor Rigby”, but also to add their Sabbath-esque touch, resulting in a very special doomy and exotic version of the song.
The single is now available for streaming on Spotify and you can watch the video below:
For this 5 mm production, the band worked once again with director Alessandro Pontillo. The actress’ name is Sabrina Colicchia.
You can order the reissue of the band’s debut full-length on Nordavind Records.
Infektion Records has issued that the Italian Doomers RITI OCCULTI are glad to announce to enter the studio next spring to record their second album “SECTA”. The new album will be a concept about Alchemy and each track will be dedicated to an alchemical element. The sound will be more ritualistic, psychedelic and heavier, enhanced by liturgical and ethnic parts. A deep journey through mysterical initiation …
By March will be released the official videoclip of Alcyone, directed by Alessandro Pontillo. The video is a reworking of the classic Greek myth of Alcyone, from which the song took its name: Alcyone for grief threw herself into the sea, and that the gods, out of compassion, changed her and her lover into birds. The myth is reworked in an esoteric key, contrasting the natural but destructive element of the sea beside the dark atmospheres of a séance through which the band members evoke Alcyone’s spirit.
