British thrashers ERADIKATOR have just released their official video for the track ‘Man Behind The Mask’. Check it out below:
The tracks is from the band’s latest album “Edge Of Humanity” which was produced by Russ Russell. The video was shot by Wil Henry of Silent Syndicate Productions and stars Phillip Ray Tommy.
As previously announced, English thrash/death metallers FORGOTTEN REMAINS announced that they are set to record an EP this year, with esteemed producer Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR, AMORPHIS, EVILE and many more).
To help finance “Morbid Reality”, the band have launched a Kickstarter campaign. To support them, head to this location. The band have stated the following about the campaign:
“Forgotten Remains have made significant progress over the last couple of years with the support of the underground scene, promoters and fans from all around the country. Our approach to metal is to play fast, intricate and heavy music and when it came to recording our new EP, there was only one name on the list that we believe can take our recorded music to a new level, the one and only Russ Russell. The band is 100% self funded with all members working full-time to pay for rehearsals, equipment, a van and its running costs, as well as CD duplication and merchandise production costs.
This new EP, “Morbid Reality” is going to incur our greatest costs so far but it is going to be worth it! This Kickstarter project is to partly fund the recording, production, mixing and mastering of the EP with the bulk of the cost being paid by the band themselves. There will be some limited edition items to purchase, as well as some “one-off” exclusives and some great bundles! In addition to that, all of the CDs ordered via the Kickstarter campaign will be signed – unless of course you request otherwise!
Kickstarter supporters will be the first to see artwork for the EP, hear previews of the new songs, get video updates from the studio and win some special secret prizes!”

The idea for Wrongstock originated when Russ had three bands he had worked with playing on the same bill and the promoter suggested arranging an all day event of bands Russ had produced. So, the wheels were set in motion and the first Wrongstock in 2014 was a huge success. Russ told Metal Shock Finland of his thoughts on the forthcoming fest – “Its going to be brutal, I’ve got a hospital bed booked for the day after! 🙂 “
Russ Russell is a British record producer and musician, he works with all kinds of music but is best know for working with bands such as: Napalm Death – Dimmu Borgir – Evile – The Wildhearts – The Exploited – Lock Up – Dripback – Venomous Concept – The Rotted – Evil Scarecrow – Meathook Seed – Menace – Leng Tch’e – Eradikator – Oceans of Slumber – Claustrofobia – Oaf – Shrapnel – Saturnian – Karybdis – Sidious – The Berzerker – Space Ritual – Absolute Power – Freebase – Sikth – Amorphis – Primitive Graven Image

ERADIKATOR are a four-piece thrash metal band from Birmingham UK, the birthplace of heavy metal. Wearing their influences proudly on their sleeves, Eradikator set out fast and intense thrash metal with a strong melodic sensibility, very much in the vein of ’80’s Metallica, Exodus, Megadeth and Testament.
Check out new song ‘Mesmerised’ here:
Produced by the legendary Russ Russell, their new album “Edge of Humanity” is 46 minutes of ferocious riffs and big melodies guaranteed to get any metal fan’s blood rushing. Add modern production and the result is an album that fans of the golden age have been waiting for since Metallica gave up thrash for corporate stadium rock.
The band are raising funds to give the release the support it deserves, and are offering a range of packages ranging from exclusive merch to lessons to a gig in your very own home! To make a pledge, click here:

On 6th April 2015 STONEGHOST will release the relentless and blistering “New Age Of Old Ways” on the Mascot Label Group (Black Label Society, Volbeat, Gojira, Joe Bonamassa), but the band very nearly never made it to this point.
Front man, tattoo artist and mouth piece Jason Smith recalls; “I was having a kid and I couldn’t cope with it, I didn’t think I would be able to carry on with the band too, I wasn’t in a good place.”
Formed in Bromley, South East London in 2007 amongst a thriving underground scene, the band began the journey with their former band name, ‘Snakebite’. The quartet quickly became a dominant fixture on the London circuit with their blend of hardcore, metal and adrenaline fuelled rock. In 2009 they opened Bloodstock Festival and stormed the stage in front of 1500 people. This led to them playing the Ronnie James Dio Stage at Bloodstock the following year alongside Opeth, Fear Factory, Children of Bodom, Gojira and the Devin Townsend Project. A trip to Germany to perform at the Wacken Open Air festival came next as did Metal Hammer’s Hammerfest IV in 2012.
It was at this point in 2013 when Jason was at his dilemma “This was when I wrote ‘Faceless Ghost‘” Jason continues. “It’s about my daughter, she was on the way, I was feeling apprehensive and scared about the responsibility and seeing a therapist at the time, I was having some really low points, but because I had a daughter on the way it gave me the reason to sort myself out.”
When recording ‘New Age of Old Ways’ they recruited the help of Russ Russell who has previously worked with Napalm Death, Evile, Dimmu Borgir, Sikth and New Model Army who helped harness the record that calls upon fear and insecurities (Faceless Ghost), carnal pleasures (The Devils Motion), childhood nightmares (All They Need Is The Light), mythology (Raynardine), defiance (The Sound Remains), reflection (Sleeper), irritation (Your Trigger, My Finger), emotional turmoil (Third Degree) and civilisation (Let Sleeping Beasts Lie).
Live is where they thrive, they occupy every space of the stage and if that means crashing into each other to get the energy across then that’s what it takes. Sometimes the energy and the aggression from the show spills over and it’s not been unknown for the band to turn on each other, such is the adrenaline fuelled performance. “We’ve beaten the sh*t out of each other” explains Jason, but Jamie reflects; “the thing is, it’s not made us enemies, it’s made us brothers.”
