Sassa Bodensjö makes Putin’s Russia smile by going public with her provocative music video for the recently released single ”(I’m A) Runaway”, check it out below. The video is dedicated to everyone in the world who ever felt that they are not okay the way they are, encouraging people to be themselves no matter what.
Sassa also sends a personal message to the Russian president:
“Vladimir, go f**k yourself and get happy”

Everyone can love Sassa. It doesn’t matter if you’re good looking or not, fat or thin, gay or straight, old or young, male or female. Sassa says that ”whoever and whatever you are, you’re okey as long as you are a fair person”.
Those who already know Sassa and have taken her to their hearts, call themselves ”sassexual”.
In 2004 Sassa started playing and like many others before her, she was tempted by the hard rocking music. She became bassist and lead singer in the metalband ‘Make a Mess’. Three girls and two boys who for seven years created new music. A kind of ‘metal music with a feminine touch’. [See Sassa in action, performing with her band Make A Mess in 2009]
They played, among many other places large and small, at the annual music festival at Aalborg in Denmark and drew a large audience.
Their greatest success came in 2007 when they participated in the international music competition Emergenza and among the much older competitors, made it to the Nordic Finals as the youngest band ever in Emergenza´s history.
Parallell to ‘Make a Mess’, Sassa became lead singer and front figure in another band called Hard Rock Hounds. A great, adult, coverband playing only hard rock hits from the greatest artists.
When they performed it was always full speed, sweaty, smoking hot and wonderful! [Watch the video here]. Here she was given free space to develop her artistery which led to the launch of her solo career in 2009 – SASSA solo.
As an unplugged soloartist, she played the keyboard and sang, preferably, songs by Beth Hart and some of her own creations. Her debute was at the annual festival at Aalborg in Denmark. A huge success! [Watch Sassa perform as a solo artist, 2010.].
With over a hundred gigs behind her, Sassa decided to try her luck in the Swedish Idol tv program and in 2010 she made it to the ”holiest place”, ie. the Friday finals. This she did with her own style and kept her integrity in tact.
After Idol and the following Idol Live Tour, Sassa now has landed in her own, completely new, music and image. Now she’s SASSA.
Sassa’s production team consists of Per Berglund, producer/songwriter and Sean Denson Travon, manager. The musicians behind her, the band, are solely professional musicians.
Berglund’s music suits Sassa perfectly and together they arrange and re-arrange the songs to find the significative ”Sassa-sound”.
Her debut as SASSA, was the 15th of April 2011 as opening act to Daniel Adams-Ray.
