SEPTICFLESH: Signs To Nuclear Blast Records Worldwide

Nuclear Blast is pleased to announce the worldwide signing of Greek symphonic death metal outfit, SEPTICFLESH! The group’s unique blend of symphonic arrangements, avant garde elements, atmosphere and eviscerating extreme metal has been converting legions into fans since the 90s. Now, with a streak of modern classic albums under their belt such as »Sumerian Daemons« (2002), »Communion« (2008), »The Great Mass« (2011), »Titan« (2014), and now »Codex Omega« (2017) there seems to be no stopping this creative juggernaut.

SEPTICFLESH‘s latest album “Codex Omega” is the first to feature former DECAPITATEDdrummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner. Months of hard work and experimentation crafted the album, and resulted in 10 compositions of dark sonic bliss. Lyrically and musically, “Codex Omega” is by far the most infernal release of SEPTICFLESH to date. The album was produced by highly acclaimed metal producer, Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, KREATOR). Besides the orchestral side represented once again by the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague, the band utilized traditional instruments such as Oud and Duduk and also a 12 string electro-acoustic guitar, enhancing the mystical atmosphere of the compositions. Of course as always, “Codex Omega”is dominated by the relentless death guitar riffing and the pale melodies that are the trademark of SEPTICFLESH.

In advance of their massive European tour, SEPTICFLESH are now revealing a pro-shot clip for the track “Martyr” taken from their latest masterpiece, ‘Codex Omega’, which has been directed by long-time collaborator Jon Simvonis. The video can be viewed below.

SEPTICFLESH comment: “We are welcoming the new year by releasing a second video from our latest album, ‘Codex Omega’ – this time for the song, ‘Martyr’. Once again the clip is directed by Jon Simvonis, blending the music of SEPTICFLESH with Kendo, which literally means ‘the way of the sword’. It is a battle of sword and spirit. The ultimate goal of the fighter is to become superior to his own previous self.”

Director Jon Simvonis adds: “We really had an awesome time filming SEPTICFLESH while they were delivering an explosive performance for the ‘Martyr’ video! No wonder, why this band nails it on every stage that they set foot on.”

SEPTICFLESH will kick off a massive European tour in support of their latest masterpiece, ‘Codex Omega’ tomorrow. The Greek masters of symphonic death metal will be joined by label mates and American black metal trailblazers INQUISITION.

The demons of winter will first be summoned to the Bavarian city of Munich on January 4th and will continue to raise hell in 10 more countries until a final black ceremony at the MS Connexion Complex in Mannheim, Germany on the 27th of January.

Gods of orchestral extreme metal SEPTICFLESH released their 10th studio album, Codex Omega, on September 1 via Prosthetic Records. Next February and March, the band will bring their latest auditory onslaught on the road:  SEPTICFLESH is thrilled to announce their upcoming North American co-headline tour with Swedish black metal legends DARK FUNERAL. Support will come from THY ANTICHRIST. Dates are set to be announced soon, so stay tuned.

DEMONSTEALER: Reveals Full Lineup For New Release

Two more international drummers have been announced for the upcoming DEMONSTEALER release – Krimh of SEPTICFLESH, ex-DECAPITATED and Romain of BENIGHTED, NECROPHAGIST. This is by far the most ambitious lineup for any release here in the sub-continent. Talking about the new material, Romain said –

“Sahil (aka DEMONSTEALER) sent me his new song without any drums, and first listen, I already had many ideas in my head!! That’s always a good sign, this is inspiring stuff, I’m looking forward to this collaboration!”

Prior to this, two other drummers namely Kevin Paradis and David Diepold were announced who also have the honour of playing with the mighty BENIGHTED. This unique strategy goes hand-in-hand with the ongoing crowdfunding campaign which has now reached 85% of the target. The Pledgemusic link can be found here.

So with four drummers playing on different songs each, expectations are high as to how much of their individual styles will rub off on DEMONSTEALER‘s music, which is predominantly death metal. The new material is said to be much faster and heavier, and the samples that are posted by Sahil on the official page sound very promising indeed.

DEMONSTEALER is the solo project of Sahil Makhija who is the founding member of one of India’s biggest bands, DEMONIC RESURRECTION. He dons multiple roles and the music too is completely in his own vision with ample experimentation and collaborations. The previous DEMONSTEALER album received much praise and saw the release of several official videos in its support. The new album is said to be more death metal and with a number of exemplary musicians slated to be a part of it, it’s highly anticipated around the world.

DEMONSTEALER have also recruited the services of renowned Indian artist Reuben Bhattacharya (Visual Amnesia), who did the breathtaking artwork of the latest DEMONIC RESURRECTION album which you can see below.
