Formed in 2007, since then the band have toured the UK with their debut album “The Age Of Paranoia” The album gained critical acclaim with outstanding reviews, and also won the Playmusic UK best unsigned metal act of 2009.
Severenth have in the past few years shared the stage with the likes of Skindred; Il Nino; Kittie; Soil; Hed p.e; Bring Me The Horizon; 3 Inches of Blood; Biomechanical; Trigger The Bloodshed; Forever Never; Panic Cell; Will Haven; plus loads more.
2010; Severenth hit up the USA! Destroying 3 of the famous Knitting Factories aswell as Hells Kitchen and the Cedarwood Dome and a few more. We hope to return to the US scene in 2012!
2011; A festive year for Severenth, Playing at HAMMERFEST Prestatyn, HRH Ibiza Roadtrip! And the most prestigious of metal festivals, WACKEN OPEN AIR. We have high hopes to play more festivals before the end of this year.
We are also supporting our sadly lost metal heads. Playing in Manchester for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and also in Buckley at Nino & Jess fest. You guys will be missed.
Thanks to one of great endorsers LOS CABROS we are proud to be using pink sticks for Cancer Research UK.
The Album starts off with The Question starts with a war cry then a shredding riff later it slows down with some clean vocals this song has it all screaming and clean vocals, shredding guitar riffs pounding drums a great start to the album. Cover Your Mouth has more of the same powerful riffs and interchanging vocals from screams to clean in a heartbeat absolute quality. Taken The Fall again it has some quality riffs to the song along with the pounding drums, Peets vocals and some barn storming solo’s make this another quality track. In Air They Drown starts off with a crunching riff, the more the song goes on the better it gets as the pounding rhythm gets my head nodding together with the strong riffs and the quality vocals makes it another great song. Not Worthy starts with the drums and another very quality riff the rhythm of the drums and the powerful riffs on this song get me nodding along it is so infectious you just got to roll with it. Along with the vocals which again are superb it also has some stunning solos which makes it a really well work song. Two Mirrors starts with another classic style riff and pounding drums throughout the song the vocals switch between scream and clean again which are in good balance. The galloping guitars on this are just brilliant which gets my head banging again. Born To Suffer starts off with a clean guitar riff then the drums comes in with that pounding beat again, suddenly a quality little riff comes in and gets my blood pumping. I just have to rock it has more of the same quality riffs, pounding drums and the switch from scream to clean vocals in an instant together with some great solos. What You Want From Me again has it all some good vocal work, quality riffs, stunning solos and pounding rhythmic drums. It goes from really hard rocking to slow but sure in a heartbeat it will definitely get your blood pumping with the old air guitar. All That’s Left starts again with a clean riff then the main riff comes in and them pounding drums smash the beat and it gets my head banging. It then slows down for the vocals to come in then it picks up the pace in between the main set of vocals. It slows down near the end of the song with a clean guitar solo. All I Ever starts with some screaming vocals but then goes straight into some shredding riffs with a great little riff coming through behind the main guitar. The pounding drums are there again smashing out the rhythm again this song has some brilliant guitar riffs quality vocals. The Answer is the last song on the album which starts off quite slow for a few bars then in comes them riffs it slows again with some clean vocals which turns into screams and back to clean. I love how the vocals do that it is real balance and it has been done throughout the whole album the drums are pounding but with style to this song and its has some really good little riffs which keeps you wanting more.
Overall
This album is an absolute barn stormer of an album it has it all screaming lyrics one minute which goes clean and soft the next pounding rhythmic drums and guitar riffs and solos which will give your air guitar a well punished airing. If you have never heard of Severenth I would say that you are missing something in your collection. These guys are the real deal aswell as putting out a great album they are absolutely brilliant live I was luckily enough to catch them at Hammerfest 4 this year and they blew me away. If these guys can keep going the way they are they will reach the top I have no doubt about it. If I was the manager I would be very proud to have them.
