Hotly tipped UK rock n’ rollers, THE BURNING CROWS, showcase an infectious mix of good time rock n’ roll, with an attitude, style & swagger that lands Britrock firmly back in the contemporary mainstream which has earned them the reputation of being one of the very best live bands on the scene today.The band have just released a new video for the track ‘Shine’, check it out below:

If high energy, rock n’ roll played hard and played with gusto is your thing, come join the carnival of frivolity and indulge in a decadent feast for the senses that is The Burning Crows’ second album, “Murder At The Gin House”. The album is due for worldwide release on 6th July 2015.

Following the amazing public and media reaction to the release of their first EP, “Never Had It So Good”, the subsequent headline tour of the UK & Ireland, a slot at Hard Rock Hell and featuring as special guests to The Quireboys throughout their winter tour, the bravado rock n rollers couldn’t have asked for a better 2012. After an overwhelming demand for more, the band returned to the world famous Rockfield Studios in Wales, to once again working with legendary producer Nick Brine (The Darkness, Bruce Springsteen, Oasis) to record “Behind The Veil”. Funded in part through a successful PledgeMusic campaign which achieved over 154% of its goal, the album was released in Summer 2013, supported by a number of music videos, highbrow shows and has since earned rave reviews from both fans and the media alike. Not content to wait until they returned to the studio again, the band also released a limited edition live album “LIVE …From Behind The Veil”, limited to just 100 signed discs and available to buy at http://www.theburningcrows.com/store and following the success of the release embarked upon a UK tour with fellow rock band Falling Red.

There truly is no rest for the wicked however and following a second PledgeMusic project, which consequently exceeded all expectations by reaching it’s goal in just 12 days and exceeding 250% at completion, the band have just returned from Rockfield Studios to after once again working with Nick Brine to record their hotly anticipated second album, “Murder At The Gin House”.

According to Earsplit PR, In celebration of her forthcoming debut solo outing, Shine, former Nightwish frontwoman, ANETTE OLZON, is pleased to unveil the official video for the track “Lies”.

Directed by Patrick Ullaeus (Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, In Flames, Sonata Arctica), the striking visuals perfectly complement the enormous range of OLZON‘s velvety vocal serenades. “‘Lies’ is actually a divorce song,” OLZON elaborates, “When I entered Nightwish, my [now] ex-husband wanted to divorce me. So in the middle of becoming a big singer in a big band and having my dreams fulfilled, I also had to go through a very hard divorce with a little son. I think I needed to write a song about that.” However, a song like that can work on different levels, she agrees. “That thing with Nightwish was also like a divorce, a really hard divorce. It’s always like that when people separate and go in different directions with hurt feelings.”

Best known for her time fronting symphonic metal brigade, Nightwish, for five years before fleeing the band in 2012, the Swedish born songstress has established herself as a true apex among female rock singers globally and will continue the trend with Shine. Produced by Stefan Örn and Johan Glössner, co-produced by OLZON alongside Johan Kronlund and mixed by Kronlund, Nicklas Flykt and Ronny Lahti (known for his work with Loreen and Roxette), Shine is a logical next step in OLZON‘s flourishing musical journey, crossing the borders between melancholy and hope; fragility and power.

Ex-NIGHTWISH singer, Anette Olzon, will release her debut solo album “Shine” in the UK on Monday 31st March via earMusic.

Anette was the front woman of Finnish symphonic-metal superstars Nightwish for five years before having to leave the band in late 2012.

“Shine” has been produced by some of the most successful teams in rock and pop in Scandinavia: the producer Stefan Örn (songwriter and producer of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest winning track ‘Running Scared’), Johan Glössner and co-produced by Anette Olzon and Johan Kronlund. The album was mixed by Kronlund, Nicklas Flykt and Ronny Lahti (known for his work with Loreen and Roxette).

“I am so thrilled to finally release my first solo album,” says Anette. “I’ve been working on it for a long time by now… The album is very personal with songs I have started writing already in 2009 but also very recent songs. The overall message of the album is that life can be really dark and filled with hardship and sadness, but you can always choose to see some light coming through, to make you stronger and full of life – making you SHINE… no matter what.”

earMUSIC welcomes vocalist ANETTE OLZON to their roster of artists. Talking about Anette’s first solo album, there is a name that can’t not be mentioned… So let it be…

Yes, Anette Olzon – as every metal fan knows – has been the front woman of Finnish symphonic-metal superstars NIGHTWISH for five years before having to leave the band in late 2012. Although the circumstances belong to the past and Anette is the kind of artist and person who only looks forward, it is a sure fact that those five years have established Anette as one of the highlight of the rock music map on a global scale.

“Does it sound like Nightwish?” It’s the question that everybody would probably like to ask… It doesn’t but it definitely does, would be the most accurate answer. Certainly more precise than denying it does or confirming Anette’s new songs sound like her previous band.

It exceptionally masters the borders between melancholy and hope, between fragility and power, because it showcases an artist who doesn’t rest on her laurels but heads boldly into the future.
