ORCHID: Announce New Drummer

San Francisco-based classic doom metallers ORCHID have parted ways with drummer Carter Kennedy.

The split happened last July after the band had returned home from Europe. ORCHID would like to thank Carter for his contributions to their 2 full lengths, 4 EPs, and numerous live concerts and tours and wish him all the best in his future musical endeavors.

In August of 2015 the band began working with Bay Area native and long time friend, drummer Ted (TJ) Cox – see photo below.

ORCHID are currently writing and demoing new material for an as of yet untitled full length album due out on Nuclear Blast in 2017.

The band’s latest release, the EP “Sign Of The Witch”, is available now and contains 4 brand new tracks – get your copy here.

San Francisco-based classic doom metallers ORCHID have released the official music video for the song ‘Helicopters’ off of the band’s most recent EP, “Sign Of The Witch”, on Nuclear Blast Records.

With this video the band wants to send out a big THANK YOU to all their fans worldwide.

The band commented: “ORCHID wanted to give a HUGE thank you to all our friends and supporters who made this last European tour such a great experience. We thought long and hard about a video for the song ‘Helicopters’ that’s on our »Sign of the Witch« EP… What to do…? How to visually tell a story about what the song means to us… But in the end, documenting the tour and playing live for everyone who came out to see us last summer was what we really felt most strongly about. It takes so much hard work by so many people outside of the band to play a show every night. All the way from the crew, to Nuclear Blast, and our booking agents and management. We wanted to show something about what it’s like to be out there… how hard everyone works… how little everyone sleeps… and most of all, all the great people who show up and support ORCHID. Thank you so much. We never forget any of you. You all keep it going!!”
