Modern extreme metal merchants SUN OF THE SUNS have released an official video for the song ‘TIIT’ – title track and second single taken from their debut album ‘TIIT’, out on August 20 on Scarlet Records – directed by Filippo Cinotti/VMultimedia.
This is how the band commented: “‘TIIT’ has been named right after this song since it’s the most representative of our songwriting in its sum of fierce death metal riffing, core-ish moments and surprising twists in rhythm and pace, all combined to a morbid melody that suggests melancholy, cosmic solitude and a certain sense of confinement that must be broken.
The usage of melody is fundamental because it rolls along with the sci-fi plot behind the concept of this record, in which a foolish one obsessed with the theory of ancient astronauts carries out genetic changes in humanity to create a new civilization closer to whom he considers ‘The Gods’.
In terms of lyrics this is the pivotal point inside this drama, where the main character speaks his declaration of intent to reach the final aim; the description of technical elements and his rage remain suspended until he shouts his crazy design that collides with the melody of the chorus in a blend of astral harshness.
The launching of ‘TIIT’’s video is also the best way to announce Filippo Scrima as the bassist of Sun Of The Suns. His entrance came quite naturally since he’s a longtime friend of ours and an experienced and talented musician – yet involved in our label-mates Nightland.”
Extreme groove metal machine SUN OF THE SUNS have released an official video for the song ‘The Golden Cage’ – the first single taken from their debut album ‘TIIT’, which will be released on August 20 by Scarlet Records.
This is how the band commented: “We chose ‘The Golden Cage’ as the first single from ‘TIIT’ because it’s capable of showing the stylistic elements that distinguish us with more immediacy, ranging from a violent incipit, groovy parts and atmospheric moments that culminate in a claustrophobic ending. These elements blend with uncomfortable melodies in a fierce and technical songwriting that is emphasized by a bombastic sound.
‘The Golden Cage’ talks about obsession and the imperative need to destroy in order to restart and build a situation in which everything is controlled and perfect, whatever the consequences. But a cage, even if golden, remains a cage. The video is directed by Matteo Ermeti and shows a collective of four masked individuals venerating an unanimated monolith that represents mankind’s obsessions that are too often placed before real needs, so much that every personal universe revolves around them.”

The three musicians collectively released several LPs and EPs, played shows all over Europe and are still aiming to push the boundaries of extreme music in a very personal and original way. Sun Of The Suns’ identity is carved in their own name: a cosmic order with innovation as its brightest polestar.
The band fully came into life by signing a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records and will soon announce the details of their debut album.
