May 18, 2022, gave Eintracht Frankfurt one of the greatest successes in the club’s history, and from now on it will be remembered as a memorable day not only in the history books of all soccer lovers and romantics. The Germans manage the sensation and win the Europa League final against the Glasgow Rangers in Seville – all of soccer Germany stands on its head. But this is not only a sporting feat, the Frankfurt fan scene also creates a real highlight. The Germans have already drawn attention to themselves throughout the entire Europa League season – in a positive sense. The “home game” in the Camp Nou (Barcelona) was unforgettable. There were more than 30,000 Frankfurt Eintracht fans in the stadium. In Seville at the final, there were about 50,000 fans of the Hessians, although only about 10,000 were able to watch the game in the stadium. Madness!
And right in the middle: The guys from TANKARD, not least with their legendary performance at the extremely emotional Fanfest before said final.
It’s no secret that the musicians (and the manager) of the band TANKARD are among the biggest Eintracht Frankfurt fans. Their club anthem ‘Schwarz-weiß wie Schnee‘ is played before every home game of the Bundesliga club and is sung along loudly by 50,000 throats.
Just in time for the release of the new EP, the band today also released the new music video, which was recorded at the big fan festival for the Europa League final on May 18, 2022 in Seville.
Gerre comments: “After the complete Waldstadion in the last few years continuously sang “We’ll get the U-UEFA CUP” instead of “We’ll get the DFB Cup” during the players’ run-in during the refrain of “Schwarz-weiß wie Schnee” (Black and white like snow), it was obvious to record a new version of our song with slightly changed lyrics at some point. Not least because of the incredible emotions at our performance at the Fan-Fest in Sevilla on 18.05.22 and the subsequent win of the Euroleague, we decided to put this into action now. After I was allowed to perform “Schwarz-Weiß wie Schnee” (Black and white like snow) live in different versions and music styles together with Roy Hammer & and the Pralinèes and Revolte Tanzbein, we had the idea to get these two bands on board for this EP. I think we more than succeeded in this genre-spanning experiment and we are more than grateful to both bands for their versions. Without in any way diminishing the terrific performance of the current team: Jürgen Grabowski, however, was, is and will forever remain the greatest Eintracht player of all time. Not only was the Euro-League won for Eintracht’s honorary captain, who sadly passed away far too early this year, but this EP is of course also dedicated to him! Therefore also the title: With the Jürgen! For Jürgen! We would like to thank Eintracht-TV and our roadie Frank Schlund, who provided us with the footage from the fan festival in Seville to realize this video clip and to capture the unbelievable atmosphere forever! A day for eternity!”
German thrash legends TANKARD have released their “Ex-Fluencer” video, the second single from their forthcoming new full-length, Pavlov’s Dawgs, set for release on September 30th on their new label home, Reaper Entertainment.
The video was recorded at this year’s Rockharz Festival, where the song made its live debut.
Comments vocalist Andreas “Gerre” Geremia, “The content of the song is about the dark side of social media madness, in which the protagonist visibly loses herself and drifts into a completely surreal world, but fortunately finds her way out again in the end. In my opinion, our guitarist Andi [Gutjahr] has created one of the coolest riffs on the new album, accompanied by scenes from this year’s Rockharz Festival with the sensational fans behind, this clip can only mutate into a hit! Click or die!”
The track is also available on all digital platforms.

The taps are polished, the Freibier is flowing, and TANKARD are finally back to what they do best five long years after their last studio album: Thrashing madly, drinking thirstily, and ever so cleverly intertwining metal, humor and sarcastic social commentary into one big raucous ball of entertainment. Even after four steamy, liver-destroying, gut-stretching decades in the name of heavy metal, there’s no stopping the TANKARD beer crew. Pavlov’s Dawgs, the band’s remarkable eighteenth studio album, arrives just in time for the celebrations surrounding their fortieth birthday.
Pavlov’s Dawgs, which was recorded and produced at Gernhard Studio Troisdorf together with producer Martin Buchwalter, will be available on CD, vinyl in various color variants, limited earbook with previously unreleased pictures from the last forty years of TANKARD, and as a limited box set which includes two demos on cassette.
For The Metal VoiceJimmy Kay and Former Anthrax singer Neil Turbin interviewed singer Andreas “Gerre” Geremia from legendary German thrashers Tankard. In the chat Gerre spoke about the bands upcoming 40 year anniversary box set from the Noise Record years, gave details of the bands upcoming studio album and spoke about the possibility of The Big Teutonic 4 touring.
‘For a Thousand Beers ‘ the Noise years Deluxe Box set will we released Feb 25 2022 via BMG.
When asked about the upcoming box set “All the rights are at BMG from the albums we did with Noise Records. It is very important for kids to get our old albums. Then BMG came up with the idea we got to celebrate our 40th birthday. So this is a little birthday present for 40 years with all the Noise Records albums. Inside there is a little book, there is also very funny bootleg video for 1987, an audio concert from Frankfurt 1988 and a lot more special stuff included. The vinyl edition has colour LP’s. So for the people who don’t have the albums, it’s a way to learn about the band’s history.”
When asked about the upcoming new studio album “We just finished recordings for our next studio album, we are doing the mix and it will be out September 2022 on Reaper Entertainment, so we left Nuclear Blast. This will be the second highlight this year for our 40th birthday.”
When asked about the lyrics and the musical direction of the new album “Not easy to describe because the album is not finished yet but the album sounds like Tankard. We have some melodic chorus, it’s fast and heavy. It will not disappoint the Tankard fans. On this album again there will be a good combination of really funny and really serious stuff (lyrics). One song will be called ‘Lockdown Forever’. It has something to do with this new virus. This song is about you have to stay home forever, you are not able to go out anymore, it’s a lockdown forever, until the end of your life. What are you going to do? You have to listen to all your metal records, from A to Z and again and again, so this is a little bit of a funny song. But we also have some serious stuff on the album like what kind of wars will happen in the future. The water is getting less, such topics we also have on the new album. The album is entitled ‘Pavlov’s Dawg’ it is the name of the album but we also have a song of the same name. Last weekend we went to the studio to do more vocal stuff and now the recordings are finished and now we got to see what will happen with the mix. “
When asked about the possibility of a Big Teutonic 4 Tour (Kreator, Sodom, Tankard and Destruction) “My opinion is if there is something that is planned we would always say yeah, we are going to do that. It would be awesome but every band has other plans and it is not so easy. Kreator is the biggest thrash band in Europe and of course they would be the headliner. I would love to do some shows from outside Germany with these 4 bands together, it would really be awesome but I am not the organizer.”
