This year will mark the eagerly awaited 5th Studio Album “Abandon all Hope” from the Iconic Sons of Sweden ENGEL. As expected with this new release, it will illustrate the much lauded and artistically crafted symmetry for which the band are known and to set a high standard for 2018 and to lead the revolution going forward.

Since their Inception back in 2005 with their unique style and approach, they became a part of the acclaimed Sound of the Gothenburg Death Metal Music Scene..

The band has been proven to be a force to be reckoned with in their own right and have established themselves as True Masters of the Gothenburg Sound, always encompassing their mixture of incredibly skilled and crafted guitar riffs with outstanding melodic harmonies whilst still retaining the Hard Edge and Power that have defined this incredible Band and their Veritable Wall of Sound.

2007 saw the release of the critically acclaimed album Absolute Design, this first offering would merely be a taste of what was to come as ENGEL would establish the band as one of the most impressive and stylish live acts in their genre taking the world stage by storm and setting themselves on the path to International Recognition. Building on this success it was followed by the release of the ground-breaking THRENODY, the beautifully styled BLOOD OF SAINTS and the seductively masterful RAVEN KINGS. Each Album has shown an emphatic progression and maturity in regards to stronger song writing and the ability to infuse new musical elements to further enhance the sound that has defined ENGEL. This has always been the ultimate rush and determination for each individual member of the band.

Dealing with the rock hard, rhythmical and exceptional guitar work with subtle atmospherics that draw your mind’s eye to a field of authority, powerful drums cutting into that authority with a delicate grace and emphatic punch whilst being driven by the strong and stylish bass playing.
Over all this masterful artistry we have the very rich and intense vocals taking the music to a different level, with one of the most powerful and eclectic singers within the Music Industry today.
