THE STEVE FOGLIA SOCIETY – founded by drummer Steve Foglia (former drummer of The Rainbird) – will release their new video for the song “Master of Nothing” on December 9th on YouTube. The song is taken from band’s latest album “Here & Now” released last June.
“Master of Nothing” is a reflection on the fact that human beings often believe they have control and power over people, objects and situations, when the truth is quite the opposite.
The album “Here & Now”, which you can find in physical version on CD or listen on digital platforms such as Spotify, was mixed by Steve and mastered by Giovanni Nebbia at Ithil World Studio.
The band is composed by Paolo Rossi (vocals), Daniele Arieta (guitar), Edoardo Tavanti (keyboards), Mario Pedone (bass) and Steve Foglia (drums).
The new album by THE STEVE FOGLIA SOCIETY entitled “Here & Now” is out now, released on June 17th, on all digital streaming platforms (Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, I-Tunes, You Tube Music etc.).
The album contains nine songs with reflective themes that blend with hard-rock sounds recalling bands like Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. Rock Music and Introspection, a combination that the leader Steve (former drummer in The Rainbird with Mike Vescera) wanted to coin as Zen-Rock.
The Society are: Paolo Rossi (vocals), Daniele Arieta (guitar), Edoardo Tavanti (keyboard), Mario Pedone (bass) and Steve Foglia (drums).
HERE & NOW – trackilst
1- Don’t kill my desire 2- Angels & Demons 3- Master of Nothing 4- Hic et Nunc 5- Life is a game 6- Redemption 7- Give it time 8- Deafening silence 9- Don’t be afraid
For some superstitious people Friday the 17th is an unlucky day, but not for THE STEVE FOGLIA SOCIETY who decided to tempt fate and release their new album (third in the studio after eight years) on this date. “Here & Now” comes out in digital version on all streaming platforms and in digipak version with special limited edition contents (pre-orders: stevefoglia@gmail.com).
Apparently the number 17 is not only flanked by the release date; well 17 people have collaborated for this album (illustrators, photographers, musicians and technicians) and in the song “Do n’t Be Afraid” Steve returns to collaborate in the studio with his friend Roberto Bonazinga after 17 years. “Here & Now” is the first ZEN ROCK album in history, as the leader Steve wanted to blend the biting sounds of rock music with introspective themes influenced by oriental culture. A fusion that gave birth to nine songs that reflect on the meaning of life, on the present moment, on good and evil, on surrendering to the passing of time and much more.
The lyrics are writted by Steve, while the music was written by Daniele Arieta and Edoardo Tavanti as well as by the band leader.
The band is formed by Paolo Rossi on vocals, Daniele Arieta on guitar, Edoardo Tavanti on keyboards, Mario Pedone on bass and Steve Foglia on drums.
“Here & Now” to be released on June 17th was preceded a few days ago by the single “Angels & Demons” of which you can see the official video below.
