TotalRock has recently come back to life again with an all new format as we previously posted here.
Programme Director Tony Wilson and Managing Editor Malcolm Dome are supported by a 25 strong team of passionate and dedicated presenters a number of whom have been with the station since it started.
The iconic radio station TotalRock, launched in 2000 by Tommy Vance and a bunch of rock music visionaries, will be back on the air on Monday January20th, broadcasting 24/7 from its new home at ‘The Cape Of Good Hope’ in Central London.
TotalRock pioneered the concept of a specialist rock radio station in the UK, and established an enviable reputation for launching the careers of bands and DJ’s alike.
An acclaimed feature of the original station was all day mini-festivals called TotalFest, and on Wednesday January 29th and Thursday January 30th, we celebrate the return of TotalRock with two ‘TotalFest Unplugged’ events. A 3 band bill each night will be headlined respectively by LITTLE ANGELS frontman Toby Jepson and THE TREATMENT playing acoustic sets before an invited audience. These filmed performances will be aired live by the station and streamed live on the new TotalRockTV channel from 8pm.
The new station will actively support the best new UK rock and metal bands by offering exposure to their music and interviews on its Radio and TV and social media platforms.

The BLOODSTOCK team have made the following announcement:
Bloodstock Radio is launched on Saturday, December 1. This is a rebranding for TotalRock, one of the most respected and pioneering of rock/metal radio stations.
But it’s not just a case of TotalRock under a new name, because it will see an overhaul of the broadcasting schedule, with some major names coming on board to present weekly shows. Metal Hammer Editor Alexander Milas will present a show from 4pm every Friday, while Iron Fist Editor Louise Brown has a three-hour show every Wednesday from 1pm.
There’s also a welcome return for some of the most popular DJs in TotalRock’s twelve year history. Mighty Matt Mason is back every Friday from 9pm, while Talita Twoshoes and Feebz launch the week each Monday from 7am.
Joining this stellar cast are names already well known to Bloodstock Festival devotees. Simon Hall kick’s off proceedings at 9am on Saturday with his regular ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ roundup from Bloodstock HQ. Black Diamond’s Metal Mayhem happens from 10am each Tuesday, while DJ Beerman is on at 9pm the same day. Miss Bomb explodes on the airwaves at 9am every Thursday, with Gimli taking over at the other end of the same day, at 9pm.
Let’s not forget the hugely successful team of DJs who have kept TotalRock as the nations favourite on-line metal station for so long. These include those who broadcast live from France and Spain, making Bloodstock Radio a truly international station.
December 1 – the day the music’s reborn. Louder, prouder and Bloodier!
And don’t miss Metal Shock Finland‘s Senior Manager Ali Blackdiamond presenting her Metal Mayhem as stated above, at 10am every Tuesday!
