Fresh off the release from her final album, Hydra,OTEP has announced she will be headlining the Seduce and Destroy tour beginning March 8th in Sacramento, California. Support will come from ONE EYED DOLL and PICTURE ME BROKEN as they make their way through twenty-two cities. See a full listing of tour dates here.
“The Seduce and Destroy World Tour will be a vortex of dissident cabarets, spiritual intercourse, and a complete and total mutiny of the senses. We are excited to bring new songs from Hydra to life on stage and for everyone to finally get a glimpse of this barbaric fiend. Our goal is to pollinate your souls with powerful music and incite mental riots wherever we go”, comments Otep Shamaya.
Hydra is availablethrough the Victory Records Web Store and can also be found on iTunes/AmazonMP3. OTEP’s new music video for the hit single “Apex Predator” will premiere on February 25th on VEVO.
After spending months deep inside their arctic fortress working on what will be their next album, your Lords and Masters GWAR have announced their return to the road in North America. The second leg of the “Fate or Chaos” tour is scheduled to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. Tickets go on sale this Friday February 15th.
Briefly putting down the crack pipe, lead throat thing Oderus Urungus spoke about going back on tour:
“As you humans amuse yourself with your mundane holidays, it has been a time of intense activity for GWAR, as we record our 13th studio album– the first one with our new Scumdog brother, Pustulus Maximus!”
The Filth-Lord continued– “We begin this year’s festivities with the second and final leg of our Fate or Chaos tour, so everybody who missed the first leg can see Cyber-Jesus get his fucking ass handed to him. Then it’s back in the studio to work on all the hulking war machines we shall need on our devastating, brand-spanking new tour, after the album drops at the end of the summer! Can you believe I said drop? How fucking stupid!”
Oderus Urungus and Balsac the Jaws of Death, recently took New York by storm when they were in town filming a segment for the SyFy TV Show “Oddities”.
The guys were once again recruited by MTV’s Next Movie to give their critique of another Steven Spielberg directed, Oscar nominated film. The last time they reviewed a movie for Next Movie they reviewed “War Horse” it was only fitting that “Lincoln” be next. Check out Oderus and Balsac’s review HERE.
Oderus and Balsac recently stole the show .as guests on the “Artie Lange Show”. Check out highlights of their appearance below.
The summer will also herald the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, and this year is shaping-up to have the most colossal, bone-crushing line-up yet! But that’s not all from your toxic mutant under-lords. Rumors of boxed sets, GWAR-B-Q sauce, GWAR beer, and long-awaited “comedy” albums abound. Further details about all of these projects would have to wait until “we get our shit together”, said Oderus.

“Dustwalker”,which is FEN’s third full-length album, was released this month on the Code666 label to almost universal critical acclaim from both critics and fans. FEN’s style of Black Metal has been variously described as “progressive”, “atmospheric”, “post-rock” and “shoegaze”. But however you choose to describe it, the sound created by the trio of The Watcher (guitars and vocals), Grungyn (bass and vocals) and Derwydd (drums) is hauntingly and unmistakeably FEN. It is a sound and an atmosphere that is uniquely influenced by the desolate, windswept region of England known as the Fens and conjures up feelings of isolation, abandonment, loss and yearning.
Five tracks from FEN, including the newly debuted “Consequence” from “Dustwalker” can be heard below.
