Finnish grind/crust trio Unborn Generation has released the first single, “Kuolleena eläjät” from the upcoming EP ”Suo kuolema”, set for release in January 2027.

Thematically, the EP continues in the same vein as the band’s latest album, ”…and All We Forget” (2024). The release explores various scenarios regarding what the world might look like after the current era of overconsumption and examines the growing malaise among people in today’s age of disinformation.

Musically, the release is rooted in crust punk, spiced with bleak and stripped-back melodic elements. It also marks a departure for the band, as the entire release is sung in Finnish.

The first single, “Kuolleena eläjät,” tells the story of how people are deliberately steered toward a desired outcome using false and misleading information—even when it is known that the result will be detrimental to the individual.

Unborn Generation is a grind/crust trio from Jyväskylä, Finland, formed in 2002.

Band members:
Herkko Huttunen – Vocals / Guitar
Eetu Huttunen – Drums
Arto Kettunen – Bass / Backing vocals
