German Melodic Death Viking Metallers VAGRANT have unleashed a new song “Spirit of Valor”, taken from the band’s debut album “The Rise Of Norn”, out June 21th, on Black Lion Records. “Spirit Of Valor” play-through was filmed by Oropesa.

Vagrant had this to say about the track:

Our single “Spirit of Valor” is the most intense song on this album. It describes the final battle of the young warrior, which will lead to his death. The Song has everything in it Vagrant is about, dark atmosphere, fast blast beats, catchy melodies and massive orchestra. Definitely the most epic song on this album.

German Melodic Death Viking Metallers VAGRANT unleash new song “Darkness During The Reign Of A Black Sun”, taken from the forthcoming album “The Rise Of Norn”, out June 14th, on Black Lion Records.

“Darkness During The Reign Of A Black Sun” portrays a young warrior’s sinister visions and dreams, in which he foresees a big war that eventually will be his last — yet the vision leaves a question about whether the prophecy can be trusted.

“The first single from the album, “Blood On A Crow’s Beak“, happened to be its closing track, a tragic narrative in which the dying warrior seems to share his final thoughts as his body is returned to the land of his birth. Musically, it’s an irresistible gallop of heroic riffing and glorious leads, of compulsive rhythms and scorching vocals, accented by acoustic strumming and ominous keyboard layers.”

Post-apocalyptic alternative metal band REVOLUTIO is ready to release the new album “Vagrant” on November 9th via Inverse Records. To celebrate the announcement, the band has unleashed a video for the album’s fifth track “Ozymandias”. The song is fast, heavy and sounds simply right for the post-apocalyptic theme that the lyrics carry around here. Watch it below:

NUCLEAR BLAST, VICTORY, VAGRANT Among Labels Affected By London Warehouse Fire

A warehouse containing stock for more than 150 record labels — including Nuclear Blast, Victory and Vagrant — was burned to the ground in north London, England during the riots last night. The stock, which was to be distributed by the [PIAS] Group, was being held at a three-story, 20,000 square-meter building in Enfield, owned by Sony DADC.

[PIAS], the U.K.’s largest distributor of indie music, said in a statement, “There was a fire last night at the Sony DADC warehouse which services the physical distribution for PIAS in the U.K. and Ireland. PIAS is working closely with Sony DADC, who are implementing their emergency plans. PIAS‘s U.K. offices in London and all other areas of our business are unaffected. More information will be communicated shortly to all our labels and partners.”
