Violent Journey Records has issued that the Finnish melodic death metal band RAIN OF ACID signed a deal with Violent Journey Records and their 2nd album “Ghost Town” will see the light of the day in January 2014. Before that 2011 debut album “Lost Souls” is going to be re-released as digital download 4th October 2013. Both albums are produced by Tuomas Saukkonen (ex-Before The Dawn, Wolfheart etc.) who also played drums in upcoming album.

Violent Journey Records has announced that the Finnish F.T.W. BOOGIE MACHINE is about to release a new Mini LP titled Feeding The Jinx through Violent Journey Records.
F.T.W. features members form such bands as Barathrum, Gloomy Grim, Fleshred & Soulgrind. This album has been recorded LIVE in three days at D-studios Klaukkala Finland by wannabe meat grinder Jarno Hänninen. They spent whole summer by listening skillful vocalists and ultra tight proggressive bands to get the whole package more accessable and Balanced. OR NOT. This is still the same raw, rough, ugly and loud shit as it has always been. maybe there has some postive developemnt happened, you judge that. Love it hate it!
This Mini LP has seven songs. Music could be callled as a combination of Motörhead, Judas Priest, Celtic Fros, Rose Tattoo, Peer Gynt etc. Of course there are some weird spices from hillbilly, punk, rockabilly and like. Just to keep the shit interesting. FTW even did a cover of famous Dead Kennedys song Too Drunk To Fuck giving it a new even more drunken dimension. Songs sound like a punch of drunk aussie punk-bastards were about to vomit in a local bar near Sydney, or something. Weird, uh? This a good album to spoil your New Year´s Resolutions. Or the whole year 2013. Thrash And Roll until you fall!

Finnish VALONKANTAJAT has signed an agreement with Violent Journey Records. Band’s debut album “Tuomittu elämään” will be released on October 12. The Oulu, Finland- based MORS SUBITA have inked a deal with Violent Journey Records. The band’s highly anticipated debut titled ”Human Waste Compression” is scheduled to be released on 21. of September. The album was recorded and produced by MORS SUBITA, mixed by Jori Haukio at Ansa Studios and mastered by Jaakko Viitalähde at Virtalähde Mastering.
MORS SUBITA includes some well established metal musicians such as Mika Lammassaari, the bands composer and lead guitarist (Eternal Tears of Sorrow – lead guitar 2009-), Tero Piltonen (Dark Flood – Growls 2010-) and Antti ”Hape” Haapsamo who performed much of the vocal work on CATAMENIA‘s 2006 album “Location: Cold”.

Skirmish, the bulldozer of heavy metal, was founded 2005 in Kajaani, Finland. Their upcoming debut album, “Through the Abacinated Eyes” will be released by legendary Violent Journey Records. The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered in D-Studio, Finland by Jarno Hänninen.
Based on past releases, people have tried to chain Skirmish inside genre limits, such as death or thrash metal, but the bands driving force has been to stay outside of categories and to rather make good music in a tight leaning position.

Finnish death metallers CORPSET have inked a deal with Violent Journey Records. The band’s debut album, “Ruins”, is scheduled for release on April 27. The CD was recorded at various facilities — from professional studios to a horse ranch in the Finnish countryside — and was mixed and mastered at the Coal Hole studio in Hämeenlinna with the group’a former bassist and studio pro Janne Tauriainen.
According to a press release, “Ruins” is “a ruthless ten-piece of contemporary Finnish death metal. With combining old-school sounds to more modern approach and joining hook-filled melodies with pure aggression, ‘Ruins’ is sure to put Finnish metal-scene on its knees. CORPSET, holding some familiar names from different well-known Finnish acts in their lineup, has managed to create a breath-taking example of twisted Finnish death metal and is a welcome breeze of fresh air to today’s stiff metal soundscapes.”
