YOSSI SASSI BAND Announces “Roots and Roads” European Tour

Israeli guitarist, producer, composer, arranger YOSSI SASSI and his YOSSI SASSI BAND have announced their “Roots and Roads” European Tour, kicking off on September 30th in Lisbon. The support comes from the Spanigh Oriental Metallers SECHEM. Check out the tour dates below.

The tour will focus on the latest effort, the band’s 3rd album “Roots and Roads”, released on May 25th. Its genre can be described as Oriental Prog Metal, combining Yossi’s various musical roots – east and west, acoustic and electric, oriental and metal.

Israeli guitarist, producer, composer, arranger YOSSI SASSI and his YOSSI SASSI BAND are set to release their third album “Roots and Roads” in less than a week, on May 25th. Its genre can be described as Oriental Prog Metal, combining Yossi’s various musical roots – east and west, acoustic and electric, oriental and metal.

The band has now unveiled the second single and video from the upcoming album, for the song “Palm Dance”, featuring Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns’n’Roses) on guitar solos, stream it below:

The final sound of the album is the reflection of an intricate combination of rock, classical and worldwide oriental instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Bozuouki, Oud, Saz, Charango, Chumbush, Ney, Kanun and much more. Alongside well-renowned local (Israeli) guest musicians, the album includes vocals by Zaher Zorgatti (Myrath) and guitar tunes by Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns’n’Roses).

The album was recorded in the Jaffa Sound Arts studio in the ancient city port of Jaffa, Israel, during April 2016.

YOSSI SASSI BAND To Release Third Album In May, Coverart Revealed

Israeli guitarist, producer, composer, arranger YOSSI SASSI and his band are set to release their third album “Roots and Roads” at the end of May 2016, and it will be the first release under the “YOSSI SASSI BAND” moniker. Yossi and the band are actively working on the music and soon will be entering the studio for the recording process.

This release reflects an evolution of Yossi’s compositions, merging east and west, somewhere between his work with Orphaned Land and his previous solo albums.

The band opened a pre-order on their online shop, here, to help finance the recording and mixing of the album while offering: Digital version, Digipak CD, Digipak Limited CD and T-shirts.

Yossi’s personal video message, see below, is offering some insights on what to expect from the new album:

This release includes *MANY* surprises that we will share with you gradually as we go deeper into the process, including:
