“Man With A Mission”, the new video from Swedish melodic metallers GOLDEN RESURRECTION, can be seen below. The song is the title cut of the band’s second album, “Man With A Mission”, which was released in October.
GOLDEN RESURRECTION vocalist Christian Liljegren‘s rock-star dream began in his room as a child while living in Habo, a small village in the south of Sweden.
“YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, EUROPE and others were the musical heroes in my teens,” he said. “They are still big influences in my music. Their breakthrough in Japan was huge and I dreamed about my own success in Japan.”
In 1997, Christian‘s dream came true when his band NARNIA signed a deal with Pony Canyon in Japan — the same label as YNGWIE MALMSTEEN.
Since then, over 15 releases in the Japanese market have sprung from Christian‘s own record label from such bands as GOLDEN RESURRECTION, DIVINEFIRE, NARNIA and AUDIOVISION.
As the lead singer for some of these acts, Christian‘s relationship with the record companies and media in Japan has become close. Several tours in Japan have opened up doors for his musical career.
In 2008 Liljegren joined forces with Tommy Johansson, a 20-year-old super-talented vocalist and guitar hero. Both shared a big passion for melodic neoclassical metal and GOLDEN RESURRECTION was born.
GOLDEN RESURRECTION‘s debut album, “Glory To My King”, was released in Japan in October 2010 via King Records.
GOLDEN RESURRECTION is:
* Christian Liljegren (DIVINEFIRE, AUDIOVISION, ex-NARNIA) – Vocals
* Tommy Johansson (REINXEED) – Guitar, Keyboards, Backing Vocals
* Stefan Käck – Bass
* Rickard Gustafsson (PANTOKRATOR) – Drums
* Kenneth Lillqvist – Keyboards
Spanish Thrash Metallers ANGELUS APATRIDAnever rest! Only two days after the last show of their extensive ‘Clockwork Tour’, the band entered Ultrasound Studios in Moita, Portugal, together with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anathema, Anneke Van Giersbergen, etc) and sound engineer Hugo Andrade, with whom they already previously worked for their much lauded “Clockwork” album, which marked the band’s first release on Century Media Records.This new album will be released sometime before the summer of 2012 and still doesn’t have a title, but some details started surfacing already: ANGELUS APATRIDA are recording 10 new tracks and 2 additional songs for bonus use. Some of the songtitles are “It’s Rising!”, “You Are Next”, “Blood On The Snow”, “Violent Dawn” and “Still Corrupt”. They will also record a special cover track and the artwork for the album will again be done by Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Firewind, The Crown, etc.), who’s currently finishing the last details.
Guillermo Izquierdo (guitars and vocals) stated about the new songs as follows: “We are working on an album that’s gonna be, without any shade of doubt, our most mature material. This time we have been able to do a pre-production of the whole record with Daniel Cardoso and it turned out to add a fresher taste in both the music and vocal melodies.”
ANGELUS APATRIDA recently escaped from studio’s routine on the night of Dec 9th to play a gig in Moita’s Live Caffé that also helped testing the new material on-stage. Highlights of the recently finished ‘Clockwork Tour’ include several runs of headlining shows in Spain, national support for Slayer and Megadeth as well as two European tours with Skeletonwitch / Warbringer and then the “Bonecrusher Tour 2011” with Dying Fetus, Keep Of Kalessin, Carnifex and many others.
ANGELUS APATRIDA are gonna spend the rest of December in Portugal recording the new album, so stay tuned via their official Facebook profile ( facebook.com/angelusapatrida ) and twitter ( twitter.com/angelusapatrida ) in order not to miss any reports and further details!
