According to The Santiago Times, just two days after rocking the Maquinaria Festival in Santiago, US thrash legends SLAYER will play a one-off concert on November 12 at Santiago’s Teatro Caupolicán with openers MASTODON.
General admission for the concert starts at 41,800 Chilean pesos 38,000 Chilean pesos (US$79), but those who attended the Maquinaria festival and still want a heavy metal fix can get tickets at the discounted price of 28,000 pesos (US$58). Tickets are available online through Puntoticket or SoldOut in Santiago.

Tom Araya
In June, 2011, Slayer bassist/vocalist Tom Araya received the key to his birth city Viña del Mar, Chile from Mayor Virginia Reginato for Musical Career Recognition. This is the first official recognition of Chile to Tom Araya, who left Chile at five years of age with his family for the US.
