Metallers FOZZY have recently reveal cover of their upcoming album “Sin And Bones” which is set to release on August 13, 2012 via Century Media Records.
The brainchild of WWE superstar Chris Jericho and Stuck Mojo mastermind Rich Ward, FOZZY have delivered their hardest-hitting album to date with “Sin And Bones”. Frontman Chris Jericho comments, “It’s the typical cliché, but ‘Sin And Bones’ really is the best thing we’ve ever done. We’ve taken the heavy yet ultra-melodic style that has become FOZZY‘s trademark to the next level and I guarantee these songs will blow all of you away!”
FOZZY just returned from the United Kingdom, where they appeared alongside Metallica and Black Sabbath at the Download Festival, performed at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards – which Chris Jericho hosted – and played sold-out shows with Ugly Kid Joe and Soil.

Lost In The New Real entered the official Dutch album charts at #16 and the Dutch alternative chart at #2.The album was released on May 8th in North America via InsideOut.

The story of Lost In The New Real follows Mr. L, a twenty-first century man who was cryopreserved at the moment of clinical death from a terminal disease. The album begins as Mr. L is being revived at a point in the distant future, when technology has advanced enough to cure his disease. Mr L finds himself in a world that has drastically changed — to the point that the line between what’s real and what’s not is no longer clear.
Mr. L’s appointed psychological advisor (played by legendary screen actor Rutger Hauer) is tasked with helping him emotionally adapt to this strange new world. The songs on CD1 follow the main character Mr. L’s emotional journey as he is confronted with both serious and comical aspects of the “New Real”, and desperately tries to decide if he can find a meaningful place within it.
CD2 is a mix of songs that are part of the concept but didn’t fit on CD1, and cover songs that are (more or less) related to the concept. As Arjen’s fans have come to expect, informative and humorous ‘behind the scenes’ videos are added to both CDs as CD-rom tracks. This beautiful 2-CD Limited Edition Mediabook is illustrated by the striking artwork of Claudio Bergamin.

As previously reported, two new dates have been added to Megadeth’s South American tour this fall. The band will perform the album Countdown To Extinction in its entirety at Via Funchal in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 5th, and due to the first show being sold out, a second show has now been added in Chile. Megadeth will perform select songs from the album Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? at Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on September 8th.
Om June 10th, Megadeth performed in front of 85,000 people at the UK’s famous Download Festival in “the sun”! Bassist David Ellefson reports from the festival below:

Due for release on NoiseArt Records on the 24th August, the album, which will also be available in Gatefold vinyl format, will once again feature storylines and characters from the universe created by TROLLFEST which is inhabited by an assortment of crazy, fun-loving and mead-fuelled trolls, and which is once again brought vividly to life in the artwork of Swedish cartoonist Jonas Darnell who originally created the iconic metal duck from TROLLFEST’s “Villanden” album, and designer Terje Johnsen. OCTOBER TIDE are currently at Black Lounge/Abyss Studios with producer Jonas Kjellgren recording their new yet untitled fourth album for a late 2012 release through Pulverised Records. This is the first album featuring their new bassist Mattias Norrman (ex-KATATONIA) and vocalist Alexander Högbom (VOLTURYON). This is what the band had to say a while ago when the new deal was announced:
“As you might have noticed we have showed up with different members on many of the shows lately and the reason for that is FOUR newborn babies produced within one year. Since the effect of humping has a time consuming aftermath we hereby make the following statement:
Vocalist Tobias Netzell and bassist Pierre Stam have decided to leave OCTOBER TIDE in favor of their families and other musical adventures. We want to thank the guys for the past years and wish them both all the best for the future!
But rest assured, new fulltime members have already been found. Pierre has been replaced by Mattias Norrman (ex-KATATONIA) and Tobias replacement will be no other than Alexander Högbom (VOLTURYON, SPASMODIC).
We are thrilled about this new strong line-up and more than ready to focus on the future and things to come. Our primary goal and mission for now is to continue to write new breathtaking material for the next album which will most likely be recorded during the summer for a late 2012 release.
