POSTHEROIC has signed a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records and is currently putting the final touches to the debut album to be released in springtime 2027.
The prog power metal brainchild of Matt Corry – voice and frontman of the acclaimed English power metallers Fellowship – and Chilean multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Francisco Pérez (keyboard player for US power metal band Judicator and guitarist for Chilean power metal band Steelrage), POSTHEROIC also features Fraser Edwards (Ascension, Fraser Edwards) on lead guitar and Ollie Bernstein (Illusion Force) on bass.
«POSTHEROIC is a project that has existed in my soul for nearly a decade. It’s joyous, scathing, political and personal all at once, proggy and weird in all the right places but with a core sound that I owe entirely to the guys in Fellowship and all our fans. It’s about growth and evolution and chasing life too hard. It’s about making dangerous musical choices and having fun with them; just as everything I write is secretly about hope, so too is this. It is definitively, unabashedly me.
POSTHEROIC was originally conceived as a solo record, and while it’s under my creative direction and ownership this would simply not have been possible without Francisco. Were it not for his contributions, I don’t think I’d be anywhere near as proud of it as I am. I’ve never enjoyed making something as much as I’ve enjoyed making this record.»
