On New Years Day, scheduled between ‘Eastenders’ and ‘Sherlock’, British progressive metallers BEHOLDER debut the first video from their third highly anticipated album “Reflections” (release date to be confirmed).
The track ‘Frozen Steps Of Utøya’ is a pre finalised and as yet unmastered mix, never the less it is a powerful introduction into the next phase of the Beholder (R)evolution.
The song itself is based on the events of 22nd July2011 in Norway; when a lone terrorist claimed the lives of 77 victims with 68 of them defenceless teenagers on Utøya island, yet somehow out of this tragic adversity a country has shown such resilient spirit. Beholder have strong ties with Norway having played there several times and with the album currently being mixed over there by Arvid Tjelta (Frogleap Studios).
Produced by Andy Pilkington (Very Metal Art) the video ‘Frozen Steps Of Utøya’ will premiere 1st January 2016 at 6.30pm (GMT) on Beholder‘s official Facebook page.

Spanish heavy metallers KILMARA are confirmed for ‘Il Male’ HEAVY METAL FEST, that will be held on the 29/30 of January 2016 in San Lazzaro Di Savena, Italy. KILMARA are on stage, Saturday 30th, 2016 to present songs from their third album “Love Songs And Other Nightmares” with the new singer Daniel Ponce.
The band is confident that they have chosen well, and they are sure that Daniel Ponce is the right candidate with whom they will be able to reach new goals, new fans worldwide and new horizons!

Tunisian metallers MYRATH have announced details of their forthcoming album “Legacy”. The band have also revealed the cover artwork, which can be seen below and have released a statement regarding funding for their video:

Jason Bonham says he believes LED ZEPPELIN will play together again at some point in the future, according to classicrock.com.
The son of the band’s late drummer John Bonham was behind the kit when vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones took to the stage in 2007 for their one-off reunion show in London, later documented on the DVD “Celebration Day”.
And despite the fact Plant has spoken out on several occasions against resurrecting the group, who split in 1980 following the sticksman’s death, Bonham still feels it’s a distinct possibility.
He tells Vanyaland: “In my heart of hearts I do believe we will play together again. It remains to be seen if it will be in public or privately, but I do think we will play again.”
Bonham, who has just wrapped up his Led Zeppelin Experience tour of the US, says playing tracks including ‘Rock And Roll’ was a challenge as he had to change his style to suit that of his father’s.
Bonham continues: “What I try to do is play in his mindset – so it’s his ability to go for it on each night. Nothing is predictable.
“You keep the fundamentals there, but some of the fills you can change around and I basically take from every year that I remember and put them all into my performance.”
Earlier this year, Page talked down the chances of a Zeppelin reunion and revealed he’s planning a return to the stage in 2016.
Plant reunited with Alison Krauss last month to record the track ‘Light Of Christmas Day’ – their first material together since 2007 album “Raising Sand”.

Australian thrash metal/punk rock mob, KING PARROT, have announced that they will be returning to Europe this winter, for what will be their biggest tour of the continent yet.
After a triumphant run of the North American and Australian circuit, KING PARROT will be touring Europe as direct support to legendary metallers SOULFLY in January, February and March 2016. The bill will also include US thrash/groove metallers, INCITE.
KING PARROT will step foot on European soil for the second time since their March trek with Weedeater, giving the chance to live through the experience of their new album, “Dead Set”, in the flesh. The album has been released in May 2015 on Agonia Records, shortly after the band’s nomination for a Metal Hammer (UK) Golden God Award.
Commented by frontman Matt Young: “Having the opportunity to tour with Soulfly through the UK and Europe is an honour and we are really looking forward to our most extensive tour of the continent. Our new record ‘Dead Set’ has been received really well there, but it’s our live show where the band excels. We feel like our live performance is pushing boundaries within the extreme realm of music, so having this chance to perform in a lot of new places is really important to us. Emerging from Australian metal scene in the last few years, KING PARROT have quickly pillaged their way to international recognition since the release of their debut album. To celebrate the birthday of the iconic classical composer, who is responsible for some of the most incredible and stunning works of music ever written, bloodydisgusting.com teamed up with metal band EXMORTUS to premiere a video for their cover of ‘Appassionata’ (Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, Op. 57), which takes the fast paced original and adds some shred to it!
In fact, drummer Mario Moreno thinks the same thing, saying:
“Being classical music fans we thought it would be cool to do another classical piece for “Ride Forth”, and once again we picked something from Beethoven because he’s rad and shreds the keys. What better time to release this track than on the month and guesstimated day he was born?
