Finland-based symphonic metal masters NIGHTWISH have reached fantastic chart positions for their new album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” worldwide and just kicked off their world-tour yesterday evening successfully in New York.

The creators of cinematic metal, Luca Turilli’S RHAPSODY are finally back with their most outstanding record: “Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus”, which is set to be released on June 19th (EU), June 22nd (UK), June 30th (US) by Nuclear Blast Records.
Enjoy the first album trailer, that will give you an insight on this big epic:
“The love for the cinema and the movie soundtracks is something clear and evident in each song of the album. The epic, cinematic impact of the music is something flowing in my blood and carved in my genetics”, commented Luca Turilli, who creates every single note for each section of the orchestra by himself.
“Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus”, was recorded at the Backyard Studios of Sebastian Roeder (Bonfire) and mastered by Christoph Stickel (Michael Schenker’s TEMPLE OF ROCK) at MSM studios.
Seven months of composition, three months of production, over 50 days of mix, two choirs, several special guests, including Ralf Scheepers (PRIMAL FEAR), Dan Lucas (KARO) and David Readman (PINK CREAM 69). Including 70 minutes of epic music, sounding cinematic, bombastic and dramatic as never before, the new RHAPSODY masterwork will lead the listener to an emotional and memorable journey between quantum gates, parallel dimensions, myths and legends hiding cosmic truths, ancestral secrets and spiritual revelations.
And this time it was not enough for the band to simply sound CINEMATIC. It came the time for RHAPSODY to finally “look” CINEMATIC too. Therefore, the new cover artwork and the album booklet, introducing the new cinematic graphic style of the band, were realized by the well-known amazing artist named Stefan “Heile” Heilemann (EPICA, LINDEMANN ).

Icelandic classic rock trio, THE VINTAGE CARAVAN, have released the second video trailer for the band’s upcoming and highly anticipated album, “Arrival”. Check it out below:
In other news, Óskar Logi Ágústsson, singer and guitarist for THE VINTAGE CARAVAN played a key role in new Icelandic drama movie ‘Metalhead’ which is out now and has drawn a lot of attention not only from the rock and metal community but also from the mainstream audience. In the movie directed by Iceland’s most famous director, Ragnar Bragason, Ágústsson plays the older brother of the main character that dies a gruesome death leading to his sister adopting his lifestyle. Commented the band: “We are so excited for the release of the upcoming album. It’s definitely a step forward for us musically and we are incredibly happy with how natural the recording process was and how well all of the songs turned out. Get ready for “Arrival”!”
The band recorded the follow-up to 2014’s critically acclaimed “Voyage” in an isolated fjord where they set up a studio in an old ballroom and worked with producer Axel “Flexi” Árnason who also worked with the band on their last album.
The band stated: “The songwriting sessions have been going on since around October 2012 when our album »Voyage« had been out in Iceland for a month. We immediately started writing at that point so some of the songs are quite old for us. Because of that we have a bit too many songs but we intend to make this album around 10 tracks so we can put what we think are the best tracks on the album. Right now we are doing demos, polishing the stuff and thinking of ways to nicely add to the production of the songs. We are very excited to start recording this album. It’s going to be interesting to work on. The album is a bit different from our previous album – it’s a bit darker, a bit heavier, a bit more melodic but definitely all in a good way.”

TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider says bandmate AJ Pero didn’t have to die – and admits he’s angry at the late drummer, according to classicrock.com.
Pero suffered a fatal heart attack last month, and the band have since announced that they’ll wind up their touring career in 2016, with Mike Portnoy behind the kit.
Snider tells TMZ: “I’m going through a period of real anger about it. He was a great guy and I loved him dearly – but he had a history of heart disease.
“His family did. His father died in his early 60s of heart disease, and AJ never had himself checked out. When they did the autopsy he had 95 percent blockage. Advanced heart disease.
“He didn’t have to die, and I feel it’s basically irresponsible behaviour on his part.”
Snider underlines that Pero left two ex-wives, a girlfriend and four children, adding: “You have a responsibility as a parent, as an adult, to get yourself checked out. There’s no reason for people to die of heart disease in this day and age.”
In a separate statement the singer says: “AJ did not have a will and left behind a real mess of an estate to be sorted out. Now there’s in-fighting, mistrust and dissension among the family about how to handle life after AJ.
“This unfortunate situation should be a life lesson to take responsibility for the world we create, and will leave behind when we’re gone.”
Twisted Sister play two memorial shows in the coming months, with proceeds from the second to be given to Pero’s family to “help them out in the short term.”
The band announced details of the forthcoming shows via their official Facebook page:
New York, NY—It was with heavy hearts that Twisted Sister said goodbye to their drummer A.J. Pero, who passed away on March 20.
Today, Twisted Sister members Dee Snider (vocals), Jay Jay French (guitar), Eddie Ojeda (guitar), and Mark “The Animal” Mendoza (bass), have announced that world renowned drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Adrenaline Mob, Winery Dogs) is the replacement for their brother A.J. Pero for all shows this year.
To honor Pero’s memory, two shows will take place on the east coast and west coast. The first, on May 30th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, will be filmed for broadcast, DVD, and CD. The second, for the A.J. Pero family, is scheduled on Saturday, June 13 at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.
Additionally, fulfilling all concert obligations that have been made for the remainder of 2015 (in several different countries), Twisted Sister want their fans to know all festival dates that they have been advertised as playing will happen.
Finally, Twisted Sister has made it official that 2016 will formally close the touring chapter of their illustrious and legendary career. The “Forty and F*ck It” farewell shows celebrates the band’s 40th anniversary with the core line-up of Snider, French, Ojeda and Mendoza.
