Ozzy Osbourne‘s right hand man in BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler got busted for a bar fight, and spent a night in jail, according tmz.com.
Sources tell us Butler was in a bar at the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley Tuesday … when the brawl broke out — and apparently the ol’ Geezer‘s still got some fight left in him.
Inyo County Sheriff’s deputies, clearly believing the Butler did it … arrested the 65-year-old for battery, vandalism, and disorderly conduct.
Butler famously wrote most of Sabbath‘s lyrics … while Ozzy got all the glory as the band’s frontman.
Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind?
Who knows? But cops tell us Butler was released from jail Wednesday morning after drying out.
U. S. horror metallers THEE MASSACRE have today premiered their humorous yet brutal new video for the track ‘Drenched In Blood And Sweat’ via bloody-disgusting.com. The video, directed by Elijah Woodcock of Pandemic Pictures, is the tale of a sock puppet who is pushed over the edge and goes on a murderous rampage. Check it out below:
THEE MASSACRE‘s debut EP “Horror” was released on Halloween last year and the band are currently working on their next album. To listen to our recent interview with vocalist Eric McMahon and guitarist D.J. Gunnarson visit this location.
Greek thrash metallers BIOTOXIC WARFARE have unleashed their new video for the track ‘Proclaim The Gospel Of Lies’, from newly released album “Lobotomized.” Check out the video below:
“Lobotomized”, the band’s first full length release, hit the metal world on 19th January via Slaney Records.
Since their formation little over two years ago and having already supported the likes of Enforcer and Suicidal Angels and released one highly lauded EP, “Baptized in Blood and Greed” in 2013, Biotoxic Warfare are emerging from the Greek underbelly as a force to be reckoned with. This is demonstrated in full on their debut album release, “Lobotomized”.
“Lobotomized” is a blistering aural attack from the start and does not let up the onslaught through the album’s eight tracks. Talking of the album, the band had this to say:
“The sound of ‘Lobotomized’ is mostly influenced by the European Thrash Metal scene (Kreator, Sodom) with a mix of old school American Death Metal (Obituary, Death, Morbid Angel). It also combines dark melodies, shredding guitar solos, technical riffing and many well-combined fragments of the whole extreme metal spectrum.
“Lyrically the album opposes strictly to any religious fanatics and cults who use their lies to control every human being with ambitions to reign upon arrogance and false reality created by religions worldwide since the dawn of time. The lyrics call the people to rise against their oppressors, stand out for what they believe and break the chains that bond both mind and soul.”
“Lobotomized” Track Listing:
1. Mors Indecepta
2. Proclaim The Gospel Of Lies
3. Baptized In Blood And Greed
4. Dysphoric Reality
5. Lobotomized
6. Lust For Hate
7. Parasitic Life
8. As We Rot (Promises Of Heaven)
PERIPHERY’s eagerly awaited dual albums, “Juggernaut: Alpha”and “Juggernaut: Omega”, have arrived and to mark the release of the critically-acclaimed outings, PERIPHERY have released a video for title track, ‘Alpha’. Check it out below:
Wes Richardson, who also collaborated with the band on the ‘Make Total Destroy’ video, directed the clip.
The DC-based band began recording what would become ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’ and ‘Juggernaut: Omega’ in the early summer of 2014, with the band’s own Adam “Nolly” Getgood serving as producer for the ambitious undertaking that was documented via a series of webisodes that you can find here: http://www.centurymedia.com/specials/juggernaut/
It is also available as ‘JuggerDoc’ with the physical purchase of ‘Juggernaut: Omega’ while ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’ comes with a mini poster.
Once word of the dual, conceptual releases surfaced drummer Matt Halpern gave listeners insight into the themes behind the albums and the reason they are two distinct albums: “’Juggernaut’ is a story that is told through our music, and we want our audience to fully digest the whole experience. Because ‘Juggernaut’ is very detailed and dense in terms of character development, peaks and valleys, climaxes and resolutions we’ve divided the story and music in two, in the form of two separate albums. ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’, the first part of the story, focuses on the back story and character development, while part two/album two, ‘Juggernaut: Omega’, focuses on some pretty serious and gut-wrenching events, taking you for a thrill ride along the main character’s complex journey. Although the albums are split in two physically, the story is only complete when the albums are digested consecutively, allowing the listener to recognize and hear the lyrical and musical overlapping themes, foreshadowing, and connected ideas.”
PERIPHERY is currently in the midst of a North American tour. Next on their agenda are Russia, a full European tour with Devin Townsend Project and Shining which leads to a PERIPHERY headlining show in London, UK, on April 1st.
